Since Donald Trump won the presidential election, he has made it clear that he has no intention to play by the rules. On top of plans for his wife Melania to remain in New York — rather than move into the White House straightaway — and keep his business interests active throughout his term, the president-elect now appears to be offering the UK government advice on who to hire for diplomatic posts.
Trump has taken to Twitter to suggest that his old pal Nigel Farage — who he met up with earlier this month — would make a ‘great’ ambassador to the United States:

Alas, there is one catch: Sir Kim Darroch is currently in the post — and has been since February.
