Halifax: A man who was on a conditional discharge for harassment has admitted calling a woman more
than a hundred times in two hours. She had some belongings of his, including a Johnny Cash CD inherited from his father. He was found to have left 106 voicemail messages.
Newcastle upon Tyne: The last surviving pit
pony from the Northumberland coalfield has died, aged 40, at Newcastle Cat and Dog Shelter.
