Baroness Warsi’s parting shot contains a serious warning for the Tories

10 August 2014

2:45 PM

Baroness Warsi’s interview with the Sunday Times and Independent on Sunday is, unsurprisingly, not just about her discomfort with the government’s policy in the Middle East. The Independent on Sunday uses her jibe at public school Tories as its top line, while the Sunday Times splashes on the peer’s warning that the Tories have left it a ‘little too late’ to attract more votes from ethnic minorities.

Her criticisms, aimed as a parting shot at her colleagues, may be discounted for being just that: nothing more than a sour parting shot from someone who found that a number of people who worked with her were only too pleased to see her out when she resigned last week. But just because they come from Warsi, hardly flavour of the month, doesn’t mean they’re not true. Her killer quote on the Tory appeal to ethnic minorities is this:

‘I think the party has shifted since then. I think over time it will be a regressive move because we have to appeal to all of Britain, not just because it’s morally the right thing to do… but because it is an electoral reality.

‘We’ve probably left it a little too late to take this part of the electorate seriously.’

[Alt-Text]

Leaving it a little too late is a problem for all political parties. Towards the end of the beginning of the electoral cycle, they start to talk earnestly about their shrinking electoral map – whether that be geographically or socially – and try to work out how to reverse the decline. Then in the middle of the electoral cycle, some worried party members set up campaign groups to do something about it. Then towards the end, as the General Election is in sight, party command starts to wonder whether there’s much of a chance this time around and whether it might instead be better to hunker down and focus on the core vote. It’s not just the Tories who could be accused with reason of doing this: Labour’s southern mission hasn’t yet built up anything that could optimistically be described as a head of steam, while the Lib Dems could almost tell you the names of each of the individual niche voters they’re after.

People other than Warsi inside and outside the Conservative parliamentary party have been warning for years that the party isn’t appealing to ethnic minority voters, working class voters, northern voters and sundry other groups. But it’s unlikely that Warsi’s particular warning will be heeded with anything other than irritation by those at the centre, even if beneath everything, she has a very good point.

Today 13 August is the 20th anniversary of the murder in London of Ricky Everitt, a white boy knifed to death in a savage racially-motivated attack by a gang of Bengali youths who selected him as a subsitute target when they could not find another specific white boy with whom they had a grievance and whom they, presumably, intended to attack in the same way. Where is the memorial service in this case? Where are the articles in the papers analysing the evils of ‘racism’? Nowhere in both cases as far as I can see.
That is why Baroness Warsi’s calls for greater appeal to the ‘ethnic minority’ vote should be ignored – because you end up with a politics of sectarian preference that ignores real events that do not fit an agenda even when those events comprise murder.

  • Roger Hudson

Warsi, a curse that keeps on giving.

  • Picquet

For the life of me, the idea of a party “appealing to all” in Britain has to be the most fatuous political concept since yesterday.

  • Simon_in_London

The Tories aren’t going to get a large number of ethnic minority voters. They could probably mirror Nixon’s Southern Strategy and go for a Northern Strategy to get white working class northern Labour voters, but not under Cameron, who seems entirely a creature of the metropolitan chaterati.

    • Alexsandr

not noticed the new kid on the block then?

      • Simon_in_London

UKIP certainly seem better placed to appeal to northern working class voters, if that’s what you’re referring to. Even though they are mostly southern English in origin, their anti-Establishment stance helps them.

        • Alexsandr

their anti immigration anti EU stance is better. Even thetraditional labour core vote is seeing how they have been sold down the river by the metropolitan elite.

  • John Gerard

Heh, heh. You people never learn do you? There you go again replying to the fake character Telemachus, created solely to take the p**s out of you all. And at the same time, you complain about it derailing threads? Telemachus would be more believable had he ticked only half the idiot boxes, but whoever created it got carried away and ticked them all. They overplayed their hand. Still, it doesn’t seem to matter, as so many of you seem content to mug yourselves off by replying.

She only became prominent by being a woman and being a Muslim. She was not elected to parliament but appointed to the House of Lords and put in the cabinet as window dressing. For some reason she was the only one who didn’t realise that her role was to be a mannequin and expected elevation to a department of state, an aspiration which she should have realised was beyond her. Being politically naive she has now acted in a juvenile manner, lashing out at her erstwhile proprietors. Her latest departure from the “principled” stand over Gaza to general criticism of individuals in the government reveals her true motivation. She deserves no credi

  • Jacques Protic

With minor exceptions most of the British media handled Warsi’s resignation with extreme prejudice and labelling her as a Muslim, therefore unworthy of a rational thought or the right to be heard. Most certainly I’m not an apologist for Muslims but passionately believe in fairness and justice in any society.

I was impressed by the speech of an Irish Senator who had the courage to say what he did say on the situation in Gaza – In my view essential listening to all who value democracy in its true sense of the meaning:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MjCqAeWhoE
Just wish we had people like him in British politics!?

    • the viceroy’s gin

…you’ve got plenty of them, lad. They are apologists for islamofascist mass-murderers, like that crazed Irish nutter .

  • Bonkim

Baroness Warsi would have served her constituency better if she encouraged them to plan their families and not have more than two children. Poverty haunts many in the ethnic minorities because of their prolific breeding habits – same reason Gazans, and Somalis will not progress in their homelands..

  • thomasaikenhead

Well Baroness Warsi certainly chose a popular topic as the cause of her resignation, namely being unable to accept the policies of the Coalition government with regard to Israel and the situation in Gaza, as the repeated large-scale demonstrations in the UK against the actions of the IDf in killing nearly two thousand innocent civilians and wounding many thousands more have made clear.

With David Cameron as the leading member of the lobbying group ‘Conservative Friends of Israel’ nobody expected him to have an even-handed approach but Baroness Warsi has drawn attention to the role of the UK in supplying military material to Israel which certainly resonates with the ethnic minorities Baroness Warsi mentioned.

    • the viceroy’s gin

      …nobody cares, lad.

      Nobody, other than you apologists.

      • thomasaikenhead

I think that the scale of demonstrations in London, France and South Africa protesting the slaughter of nearly two thousand civilians in Gaza show that people DO care.

The hundred Spanish artists, including Cruz and Bardem. who signed an open letter decrying the slaughter shows that people DO care.

The protests in Israel against Operation Protective Edge show that people DO care.

Wanting the IDF to stop killing hundreds of Palestinian children in Gaza and maiming many hundreds more has nothing to do with being an apologist.

        • the viceroy’s gin

No, those demonstrations are bought and paid for. The vast majority of people recognize the islamofascists are just acting out murderously again. The neighboring states recognize it as well.

Nobody cares, other than you apologists .

          • thomasaikenhead

            Gin,

Once again, nobody is apologising for Hamas by wanting the IDF to stop its actions in Gaza that have resulted in two thousand deaths, including hundreds of innocent children, and the maiming of many thousands more.

Israel has tried and tried and tried again to launch military operations against Gaza to stop rockets being fired, to free Gilad Shalit, to destroy Hamas. to ensure ‘quiet for quiet’, to destroy the tunnels and has failed every time.

Stupidity has been defined as doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.

The policy of ‘mailed fist’ has failed and Israel is committing Spartan Suicide.

            • the viceroy’s gin

Yes, you are apologizing for the islamofascist murderers, Hamas, who indiscriminately fire volleys of rockets at innocent civilians, which is the trigger for all this. If the islamofascist murderers stop, this all stops.

But you apologists don’t want it to stop, obviously.

Israel is not committing “suicide”, lad. I guarantee they will do this again, 2-3 years from now, if you apologists succeed in talking your Hamas buddies into restocking their missiles and opening fire again.

The outcome will be the same… again… and again… until your Hamas buddies cease firing volleys of rockets at innocent civilians.

This really isn’t that complex. You really should be able to understand it enough to stop apologizing for islamofascist murderers.

  • Fraziel

ethnic minorities, working class voters, northern voters, public sector workers. The tories have no chance of ever getting a majority again until they stop treating all those groups like the sh*t under their shoe.Labour are appalling with an awful leader but they will likely be largest party at election time. The tories can look at all the groups they have disenfranchised and see that will be a major reason why.

  • victor67

The Tories are becoming a bit like the Republicans in the US. Toxic to anyway that is not in their own image ie white, male and upper class.
Its a recipe for electoral suicide.

    • Smithersjones2013

I think there is more than enough toxicity to go around. Its not as if Labour are welcomed in large portions of society either. In their way they are no less insular, self-serving and elitist than the Tories

    • the viceroy’s gin

The Republicans in the US are on schedule to win a major victory in the November 2014 elections, lad, in about 90 days time.

Do you socialist nutters ever stop fantasizing nutty gibberish?

      • victor67

Its a protest vote against the incumbent. I would put good money a democratic is returned to the White House in 2016. Like many posters here it sticks in the throat that to get elected in the US you have to speak to the Latino and Black Community. Do you see the tea party nut jobs doing that?Like I said they are only interested in those in their own image.

        • The Masked Marvel

Your racism is sad. How did Herman Cain get to the top of the Tea Party polls if they’re interested only in white men?

        • the viceroy’s gin

It’s a vote against your nutty socialist gibberish, lad, contrary to your crazed assertions about “electoral suicide”. And given your crazed assertion about elections less than 90 days from now, I wouldn’t suggest you bet “good money” on elections to be held over 2 years from now, lad.

Again, in 90 days the US electorate will put the lie to your nutty assertions.

    • The Masked Marvel

“…are becoming…” When were the Tories less white and less male, then? Toxic to racists who are comfortable only with their own kind, perhaps.

Upper class? Your bigotry has again lead you astray. There’s more wealth amongst Democrats and Progressives. If the Republicans are headed towards electoral suicide, how is it that they gained 63 seats in the House in 2010, and went on to lose only 6 in 2012 and increased their majority of state governorships whilst Obama’s margin of victory was reduced? Keep in mind also that the Democrats far outspent Republicans across the board. Perhaps there’s more to it than the identity politics on which your prejudices focus? What lie will you tell yourself once they take the Senate in November as well?

You need to stop listening to the BBC.

Of course, if the Tories are headed for electoral suicide, it’s down to policy and incompetence. Voters aren’t abandoning them and voting UKIP because of race or class.

  • Smithersjones2013

People other than Warsi inside and outside the Conservative
parliamentary party have been warning for years that the party isn’t
appealing to ethnic minority voters, working class voters, northern
    voters and sundry other groups.

More puerile senseless handwringing by Hardman and here is why. Many of these groups have conflicting interests. You can’t appeal to immigrant voters and appeal to anti immigration white working classes at the same time. You cannot appeal to the poor without raising the spectre of tax increases on the middle and upper classes You cannot build the houses that the urban classes demand without creating the fear of building all over the rural green belt. That is the point. You cannot please all of the people most of the time.

Where the Tories are failing is by dithering and sitting on the fence in the worthless centre ground of politics trying to keep most groups onside because all it does is make party’s look dishonest, two-faced and incompetent.

Its about time the Tory leadership grew a spine stood up and said what it truly stands for instead of trying to keep onside people who would be repelled if they knew what the Tories were really up to

    • Damaris Tighe

The Tories have never stood for anything except whatever happens to be the status quo, wherever on the political spectrum that happens to be. As the status quo is now far to the left of what it was even twenty years ago, that’s what they will support.

  • Blindsideflanker

I note BBC hasn’t seen fit to put the reported genocide of 500 women and children buried alive on the evening news. May be they just can believe it of their religion of peace.

    • MrsDBliss

Good God! I’ve been out doing family all weekend and had not hear of this – I haven’t seen it on any of the online sites I look at. I’m, ashamed oy, afraid to search it out now it’s so deplorable. I can’t believe these atrocities are happening. It’s like when the nazis were appeased.

      • lookout

Try Walid Shoebat.com, it will do something to you, the Belgium’s have painted their trains with the Palestinian flag colours, theMuslims in Germany are now abandoning the left, their traditional friends, and now have their own party, yep, they want full sharia law.

      • Damaris Tighe

Something called Sovereign FM is reporting that 500 Yezidis have been killed & some have been buried alive.

    • The Masked Marvel

As veteran BBC journalist Hugh Sykes has said, the BBC will sometimes decide not to report things like this because it might “give permission for prejudice” and because this kind of barbarity from Muslims is so common it’s become “routine”.

      • Alexsandr

why does anyone trust the BBC anymore. They should have their broadcasting licence revoked, like Ch 4

there are laws that say all broadcast news has to be unbiased.

        • The Masked Marvel

Agreed. However, the BBC have, over the years, developed a very clever, meticulous numbers game they use to “prove” they’re not biased. And they spent a large sum of money to keep the Balen Report from being published. Yet, they did not make the same effort to keep the Savile inquiry under wraps.

      • Damaris Tighe

Hang on, so the BBC uses discretion when reporting muslim atrocities out of fear of giving ‘permission for prejudice’ but has no such scruples when giving blanket coverage to dead children in Gaza blamed on Israel – which as we’ve seen incites antisemitism. Clearly they have no problem with that.

        • The Masked Marvel

Notice also how the BBC have made every effort over the years to educate the public not to lump all Muslims in with those extremists who do the violence, yet have never once made the same effort to warn the public against doing the same with Jews and Israel.

Recall that when James Harding was brought in, Stephen Sackur grilled Chris Patten about the man’s support for Israel, demanding to know if he would be able to leave his personal politics at the door. Have you or anyone else ever seen the BBC have a similar concern over, say, a Muslim being made head of religion?

Israel and Islam seem to be the two most important and most troublesome issues at the BBC. They’re not equipped to handle it.

      • Tony_E

I’m afraid that’s just a weak excuse used to cover the BBC’s own internal prejudices and political leanings.

Long known to all of us who take an interest in such things, the BBC has been following a liberal/Left agenda in both news reporting and drama commissioning. It’s trying to shift the middle ground so that it more reflects their own metropolitan bias. Unfortunately, it’s been very effective. Subsequently, we can see the rise of minority interests and the slowly fading interest in issues that would have been much more majoritarian a decade or two ago.

        • The Masked Marvel

Indeed. Yet the BBC will blame Murdoch for it, and when asked will deny they even remotely dream of setting the day’s news agenda, or that there’s ever been any effort to infuse certain ideological angles into news reporting or drama or comedy broadcasting.

  • Whyshouldihavetoregister

What are the Tories supposed to offer? Concentration camps for Jews? Bombing Tel Aviv?

    • MrsDBliss

For once I factually found myself agreeing with Cameron. He stated that he’s sure the violence would stop if Hamas were to stop firing rockets. Even a stopped clock!

  • Blindsideflanker

No news release from Warsi saying she is going to with resign the Conservative whip in light of Cameron’s pathetic response to the genocide of Christians and Yazidi.

500 Yazidi women and children are reported to have been buried alive.

    Cameron still on holiday.

  • anyfool

The Tories do not need the Muslim ethnic vote, anything they do to garner votes from them drives away core votes.
People were prepared to live and let live, that only works when all sides are disposed to do so.
The Muslims by their own actions show they will never be of that persuasion, they be it a minority or not, have no interest in social harmony, they will not rest till their interests are the only ones that matter.
Labour will regret their disastrous decision, born out of spite and hatred to saddle the country with this pernicious ideology.
The vile socialists over the whole Western world have done the same, there is almost no place to escape as non Muslims in their homelands are finding out.
    This will not end well.

    • The Patriot

Hear hear…. We need a government that is willing to do something about it sooner rather than later, if it is not too late already… Any delay will only lead to more bloodshed.

      • Holly

It is not too late at all, and good fortune has given us an election within months, so do we fight or flee?
Cameron can not do anything to change where we are, whether it’s on immigration, deportation, or Europe, before the next election.
He has strung himself up chasing imaginary voters, who probably had no intention of voting for him to start with, and I very much doubt he’d do anything anyway, but hey…
        I could be wrong.

        • The Patriot

We stay and fight of course. I’ll be voting UKIP too don’t you worry. However, we must be honest, they’re not going to win a majority, they’re also pretty quiet on the whole Islam issue, which I hope they’ll soon change. In the meantime they’re breeding like rats, conflict can only be the inevitable outcome, it may not be too late but time is running out and quickly for it to be dealt with without too much carnage.

          • Alexsandr

i think UKIP are right to go softly softly on the Islam issue. Then sowly ramp up the pressure. Proper law enforcement (including immigration, and taxation, social housing reletting),checking out where Muslim charity money goes, and stopping the translation if official stuff. And stop bailing illegals.

            • The Patriot

Yes I agree, they’re being tactical, but at some point something more agressive must be done, we must look to France for where this country is heading. Also at France for another reason, in a way I’m more intrigued as to the outcome of the next French election than our own. IF Le Pen, out and out anti-Islam, gets in then it’ll be a very interesting few years after that… I think other national government will feel more at ease at confronting the issue, especially if she is seen to be succeeding by not only thr French people but the people’s of other countries, like ours for example.

              • Alexsandr

french have a good start. No religious symbols in state buildings, including schools. And no misogynistic hijabs and burkas.

            • Holly

The MSM would have a field day if UKIP mentioned any minority group, let alone singling out muslims.

The two main political parties of this country have got us into a situation where we can no longer stop people coming in, including those now fighting abroad, and have little to no chance of getting rid of people who wish to do us harm, in jail for plotting to do us harm.
Maybe I’m missing something, but why on earth do they reckon I’m going to keep voting for them?

              • Alexsandr

                spot on Hol.

              • ukfred

Why do you all the major parties are in favour of banning private ownership of firearms: they all piddle in the same pot and do not want any resistance when the sell us down the river in Brussels.

Bang on, scuse the pun, 100 year ban on the official papers from Dunblane, when my friend got his gun banning papers from the government, really the e.u., the papers were dated from before Dunblane, strange and creepy

    • MrsDBliss

I really don’t want to be PC, it’s a defunct ideology, but fe mists don’t speak or act for me. I find them shrill and idiotic. The fact that Cameron has brought in women to the cabinet as bait for my vote is not only offensive but redundant. They are, by their nature career women and therefore do not represent my concerns as a SAHM whose husbands taxes are going to pay for single parent families and career women’s concerns.
I can therefore see that vocal Muslims are the minority – I know you acknowledge this. However I feel like I must reiterate this as I think the givernment has not only let us down by kowtowing to this minority but, as with other ‘minority voices’ such as feminists, they actually do no favours to Muslims as well. Imagine being a woman on one of those estates were vter rigging is going on. Limited action is taken because of political consequences and those women have no voice. Imagine being a Muslim man living in an estate which is now a no go area because of extremists – where is there protection under the law.
These Muslims like Warsi do not speak for all no matter how much they profess it. People often ask why, if there is a silent majority of moderate Muslims, they don’t speak out. I always think; who would risk it in an area where the rule of law has been removed form extremists?

      • Damaris Tighe

        Exactly

      • Alexsandr

        islam is a bully. Simple.

  • Tony_E

What Warsi suggests here is that the tories should stop running the country for the majority. Good and concentrate on minority interests and identity politics.

In that case she is no tory. Untalented and over promoted purely due to her ethnicity, then it’s hardly surprising that she takes such a view. A woman scorned, not given the job she felt entitled to she is now hitting out at the man who rumbled her lack of talent.

What anyone who agrees with her should remember is that Tony Blair did exactly what she suggests for a decade. Identity politics and targeted giveaways to minorities, massive immigration to enlarge the voting block strength of those minorities and the introduction of ridiculous legal protection for minorities from criticism.

And what has that brought us?

    • Holly

      UKIP!

  • tomgreaves

I wonder how many British residents of Islamic States will be honoured and invited to take a seat in their government. The growing tension between the west as a whole and Muslims with a militant tendency is worrying to say the least. The last thing the UK needs is a Muslim representing British interests. Cameron used her to garner immigrant votes, but it’s backfired on him. She knew that, and her current actions are a clear expression of her underlying contempt not only for Tories, but for British culture. Good riddance!

    • ohforheavensake

Well they wouldn’t. Because they’re British. Just like Baroness Warsi is British.

So that’s the answer, right there.

  • GraveDave

Love her or loath her, she HAS got a point .The Tories are caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand they badly need the ethnic vote but on the other, they risk alienating themselves from the few anti immigrant and anti immigration voters they still have, who will inevitably cross over to UKIP.

    • Holly

      Will?
      Already have mate.
The Conservatives under Cameron are between a rock and a hard place, because Cameron put them there.
Playing one section of society off against the other has been the undoing of the three main political parties in this country, and to trust any of them not to continue doing so, I feel, would be a great folly.
Between them they have tried to rid Britain of everything that made her great. The stuff that made us so tolerant as a nation long before Blair came onto the scene.
Why do you think they got rid of Gove?
He would have instilled the patriotism back into children. Given them a better understanding of why numpties like me feel so betrayed by the politicians, and seeing our country creaking under the strain of the mass influx of peoples.
They no longer merit my vote.

  • davidofkent

Warsi was not elected. She was an appointee. Having resigned, she should now keep her counsel, lest she appear very foolish. There are plenty of things wrong with this country. We know that and do not need her to inform us.

  • rockylives

This grotesque woman claims politicians should appeal to “all of Britain.”

Why then is she solely interested in appealing to her co-religionists?

    • lookout

Still waiting for her to say that the Jews can have their own state and she wants the anti-Semitic attacks stopped and Isis and Hezbollah and Hamas are war mongering nutters, I won’t hold my breath

  • Peter Stroud

The conservatives will always find it hard to attract the majority of Muslim voters. Only those from the business field will be natural conservatives, those of employee status are always likely to vote Labour. Then, keep a weather eye out for the sort of shenanigans regularly found in Tower Hamlets, and elsewhere.

  • Bonkim

Dismissing Sayeeda Warsi as a Muslim/ethnic minority would be a mistake. Whilst not all will agree with her stance on Gaza – many non-Muslim Britons support her view. Criticism of Israel’s actions in Gaza does not translate into anti-semitism/pro-Islam or support of Israel to exist. In fact a critical-friend is better than a self-interested sycophant. I bet many in Israel would say that but are prevented by social pressures.

The real question for Conservatives is whether they want to focus on issues and do the British thing fairly regardless of whether the parties involved are Jews or Muslims. Warsi still has mileage in her – Much of the anti-comments have no intellectual merit and she stands apart for her ethnicity and religion – the main reason for the bile..

    • Epidermoid

“Much of the anti-comments have no intellectual merit and she stands
apart for her ethnicity and religion – the main reason for the bile..”

Her ethnicity and religion are of the essence for they determine her life in a world devoid of intellectual merit. Someone who believes that Jews are despised by God and that British sympathy should be for those that seek to murder them in Gaza is not only painfully deceived but trying to deceive.

      • Bonkim

Doubt if Jews are despised by many in Britain. Jews have played important roles in British society but that does not mean Israel should not be criticized for its dastardly act – well beyond that required for defence. Hamas is recognized by all as a terrorist organisation and incompetent at that. Most in Britain don’t give a damn if Hams is wiped out – but equally harming innocent civilians in operations to destroy the tunnels could have been avoided by intelligent methods carnage by the Israeli military. No one is questioning Israel’s right to safeguard its interests, but at the same time expanding settlements in occupied lands is not civilized behaviour.

        • Epidermoid

“expanding settlements in occupied lands is not civilized behaviour.”

I respect your comment on Hamas but would ask you to consider your words above. It is reasonable to say that Israel ‘occupies’ the WB but what do you know of the circumstances by which it was occupied? Do you maintain that Jordan enjoyed sovereignty until ’67? If you do, to whom does that pass once its invasive force is defeated?

          • Bonkim

Israel’s legality to the land is murky. Legally Israeal was born out of terrorism and he British gave in easy.

It would be unproductive for us to debate that. However going by the UN resolutions and reported narrative Israel is muscling in and bowing to extremist settler-pressure. Some of the Israeli political parties are no different to pre-ww2 Nazis or Hamas.

However under English Law land does not belong to anyone but the one occupying it – as such I suppose Israel can do what it wants as long as it can get away with it and there is no credible force in the region that can challenge what Israel is doing. By the law of nature things are always evolving and don’t expect Israel’s power to remain ad-infinitum.

            • Epidermoid

“Israel’s legality to the land is murky. Legally Israeal was born out of terrorism and he British gave in easy.”

That’s a bit hard. Jews were returning to Judea long before the Irgun to join those in the majority in Jerusalem and other scattered with Christians and Muslims around the land. In International Law the whole of Palestine was to be for the Jewish Nation but Britain cheated and gave away most to the Arabs.Jews were even prevented from access as they fled Hitler. The West Bank is legally Israel’s but could be traded for peace. The problem is the Palestinians do not want peace, they want war.

              • Bonkim

Boat loads of Jews were arriving in Palestine and the British authorities could not turn them back. No passport control at the time and Jewish terrorists were having a go at the British authorities. People coming in and taking over – imagine if that was to happen in Britain today – there will be civil war.

                • Epidermoid

They didn’t manage to stop all the refugees despite the closing of the gates to Palestine but many thousands died at the hands of the Nazis because of British policy. People were not coming and taking over, they were fleeing for their lives. There was already a Jewish majority in those areas destined for the Jewish State. What you mean is that the Arabs were of the same mind as Hitler and that Jews should be dealt with and indeed, you are right, there was war, a war of annihilation against a people with nowhere to go. To the eternal shame of the Arabs, the Jews won.

                • Bonkim

Why should Palestinian Arabs pay the price of Europe’s barbarity? There was land in North America to take the refugees in. Arabs were generally hospitable and coexisted with minorities amongst them – the extremism you see today is because of external forcing demographic change and setting up of Israel in 1948 by the colonial powers and the new UN dominated by the winners of WW2.

If the stupid Warsi resigned in solidarity with the suffering of her fellow Muslims in Gaza (and Gaza has nothing to do with the UK Government) what is she going to do about the Genocide of Yazidi and Christians perpetrated by her fellow Muslims ? The shame of that Genocide is a stain on all Muslims, following their own logic.

  • Tom Chance

The difference is George Osborne uses policy initiatives like rail infrastructure investment to appeal to northern voters, whereas Baroness Warsi engages in a form of identity politics that offers no practical solutions and simply appeals to voters’ fears.

  • Augustus

She’s a nasty piece of work. “Cannot win a majority at the next general election because the Tories have neglected ethnic minority voters”. “left it too late”. So all swing votes to the Tories now depend solely on people of ethnic origin? Who would actually believe that? This is nothing more than grandstanding to back up her resignation, but will only result in people of all races and creeds saying to themselves; ‘that woman thinks too much of herself, and talks too much’.

  • Michael Schachter

If people feel their primary allegiance is to their “ethnic minority” and not the United Kingdom they should sling their hook.

    • The Patriot

      Or, be forced to.

    • Junis

To whom is your primary loyalty? Israel?

      • Alexsandr

mine is to Britain. If you dont like our values, find somewhere else to live.
What is your problem with Israel? Sounds a little racist to me.

      • Holly

Trouble with your ilk is, you are loyal to nothing and no one.
Not to your people, not to your religion, not to your country. no one and nothing, just empty vessels, making a shed load of noise.

      • wudyermucuss

        Nah,Pakistan bruv innit?

  • The Patriot

Let’s be clear here though, whenever Warsi says ‘ethnic minorities’ she only cares, and is really only talking about, Muslims. Which, out of all of the ethnic minorities in this country are both the one’s least wanted, least liked and the most dangerous to our way of life… They should be thankful we haven’t banned them from this country yet… Though that would be the best and safest option.

    • Junis

We Muslims are an asset to England. However, Israel-firsters are not.

      • Alexsandr

no. you are paedophile , violent, intolerant & mysogenistic, values that have no place in a liberal democracy. Anyway, if you think for 10 minutes Alah, God etc dont exist so why waste your time?

  • Michael Leschziner

Can there be a more absurdly inverted statement (today’s Sunday Times) from Baroness Warsi on Gaza (today’s Sunday Times), reflecting total detachment from reality, than “If you have a naughty child, you don’t meet its demands, you tell it to stop being naughty”? Who is the “naughty” party
here, if not Islamist Hamas who, like a raging, thrashing “naughty child” , have for years lobbed, indiscriminately, thousands of rockets into Israel with zero control of where they would land – schools, nurseries, farms, hospitals, private houses…. Her preoccupation with Gaza and the ‘plight’ of minorities – always our failure, not theirs, as per usual – simply concurs with a general irrational sentiment among most “victimised” Moslems: it’s perfectly OK for Moslems to slaughter other Moslems – in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Nigeria, Somalia – but not for Jews or Christians
to defend themselves against the onslaught of her beloved brothers in faith.

  • Holly

Having read this, I am still at a loss of what else she is wanting for minority groups living here.
They get the same as all the rest of us, plus laws that say no one can discriminate them, laws that say no one from the majority can say anything against them, and if caught quoting Churchill, well…
What is it she actually wants from the majority?
Personally, I reckon they’ve fared better at demanding their rights than the rest of us have.
Time for them to give it a rest….We ain’t got any more to give you, and if that ‘upsets’ you, that is the fault of never ending demand’s from people like Warsi.

    • cambridgeelephant

Try going to Pakistan or Saudi and bemoaning your ‘lack of minority rights’ as a non Islamist and see how far you get ?

This :- “Personally, I reckon they’ve fared better at demanding their rights than the rest of us have.” is particularly telling because it’s particularly true.

  • The Masked Marvel

Don’t worry, love, it’s never too late to pander. And when we tell you you’re not good enough these days, it’s not because you’re brown or from oop North or tick any of the other identity politics boxes.

Interesting, though, that the only suggestion she offers to help bring more minorities into the fold is for Cameron and Osborne to pressure the Jews into rolling over. Why would Afro-Caribbeans or Sikhs or the Chinese care about that? Oh, hang on….

    • the viceroy’s gin

It’s good she finally figured out that the Camerluvvie poshboys were using her as a token, and for that alone.

      • HookesLaw

I only recognise one poshboy public school stereotype and his name is Farage.

        • the viceroy’s gin

…but you Camerluvvies were never much for recognition, lad.

      • Holly

She was quick enough to dump Labour’s offer.
She could well have been the PM by now if she had stuck with the Labour offer.

  • MikeF

But if you want to appeal ‘to all of Britain’ is it a good idea to salami-slice the electorate up into little ethnically-defined voting blocs? That has been the utterly cynical and sectarian policy of the left for the past three decades or more under the guise of multiculturalism and the consequences have been disastrous for the public life of this country. The point of conservative (with a small ‘c’) politics should be to appeal to all of the electorate on the basis of shared interests and identity. People’s religion or ethnicity should be irrelevant to the political process. That is what Ms Warsi does not seem to understand – you can have ‘identity politics’ or democratic politics not both.

    • Blindsideflanker

Well said, if the Conservatives had any belief in what they stand for, they would have told the Cultural Marxists to naff off with their grubby multicultural tribalism, and offered the British people a more cohesive common vision for all. Unfortunately the people we have leading the Conservatives are shallow and cowardly , and rather challenging the left they swallowed their rotten agenda whole sale.

      • HookesLaw

David Cameron from as far back as 2008 –
‘David Cameron today launched a fierce attack on what he called “state
multiculturalism”, claiming that it undermined community relations.
“State multiculturalism is a wrong-headed doctrine that has had disastrous results. It has fostered difference between communities,” the
Conservative leader said in a speech.
“And it has stopped us from strengthening our collective identity. Indeed, it has deliberately weakened it.”
Cameron defined “state multiculturalism” as “the idea that we should respect different cultures within Britain to the point of allowing them – indeed encouraging them – to live separate lives, apart from each other and apart from the mainstream.”
        http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2008/feb/26/conservatives.race

Were you listening or is it easier for you to pretend that the truth never happened?

        • GraveDave

2008. Wow! As far back as that eh? And was the little spunkbubble even around when they sacked Enoch Powell?

        • Tom Allalone

Er yes..and what did he then do about it? F*ck all

    • HookesLaw

Warsi has retired into a comfort zone. She was given a chance to show some political talent and was doing very well to be in the job she had. Its easier for her to blame being a muslim and a woman on her lack of recognition rather than the lack of her own talent.

      • http://batman-news.com The Commentator

Warsi is a principled and intelligent politician who has a better grasp of the electoral terrain than Dave or Gideon. Briefly: there are 2.7 million Muslims in the UK (half of them under 25 so a demographic that is likely to grow), all are enraged by the genocide and war crimes in Gaza and the government’s refusal to condemn it. The Tories can’t afford to alienate any more voters than they have already. They haven’t won an election for more than twenty years and they are not going to win in 2015. Time to start listening to Sayeeda!

        • Colonel Mustard

More voters voted for the Tories than any other party in 2010. Look at the blue on the election map of England:-

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_general_election,_2010

And none of your old baloney.

Besides I doubt very much you speak for every muslim in the UK, although no doubt you would like to. But your self-loathing treason is illuminating and noted.

        • Inverted Meniscus

Yes Hamas must stop committing war crimes.

        • Epidermoid

“Briefly: there are 2.7 million Muslims in the UK (half of them under 25
so a demographic that is likely to grow), all are enraged by the
genocide and war crimes in Gaza and the government’s refusal to condemn
          it.”

They care little for genocide or admire it when it suits, but are enraged that the worst of men in Gaza are dying when they should be more usefully employed murdering Jews. The presence of Muslims in large numbers everywhere in Europe is a threat of major proportion, not only to Jews but to the rest of the population.

          • The Masked Marvel

Exactly. And if Warsi had the integrity and principles this “Commenter” claims, she wouldn’t have accepted the token position in the first place.

            • Holly

Too far up her own ‘dark place’ to think.

        • Alexsandr

No mention of the war crimes of Hamas (ISIS’ friends by the way) firing rockets indiscriminately into Israel, and using their own people as human shields to enhance their victim status on TV news. Or digging tunnels into Israel with the intent of attacking civilians?

Seems its OK for people to bomb the aggressive Muslims in Iraq but not the ones in gaza? Tad hypocritical?

        • Holly

          YEAH RIGHT!!
What was it she wanted a British government to do exactly?

Not a right lot to listen to that we haven’t been spoon-fed for over a decade.
so you reckon she’s spot on. That we do indeed need more of the same, only with a bit more tagged on for the 2.7 million muslims, and they would all vote for the Conservatives.
Gosh, if only she’d have come out and said that eh.
….And a general election just months away.

  • saffrin

Wimin, who knows what they’ll do at any time of the month?

  • Blindsideflanker

The Cameron Conservatives have done even less for the English and there are a dammed sight more of them than ethnics.

    • HookesLaw

Don’t talk daft. The conservative party is busy clearing up labours mess. Above all it is making welfare a less attractive option than work. The last statistics said that 9 out of 10 new jobs went to UK citizens. The left hate it for that the right should support it.
As it is Labour that was happy to park British people on benefits and pay lip service to education.

      • Blindsideflanker

And what has that got to do with the price of tea in China?

        • HookesLaw

A lot more than your pointless witless comment.

          • Blindsideflanker

You are such a loveable person, the Cameron Conservatives must view it as a joy to have you trolling on their behalf.

            er… No

you don’t seem to want a multiculturalism including Jews so a tad hypocritical there. And intolerant. Hardly a good advert for your creed is it?

          • Pepperless

well you are ignorant and probably do not what multiculturalism mean and that is different from multi racial society

          • http://owsblog.blogspot.com Span Ows

I think you, like most, and especially our politicians mistake multiculturalism for multi ethnicity. The UK has always had many different ethnicities (although obviously dwarfed by ‘British’ DNA that has been around for tens of thousands of years) and it hasn’t caused too many problems over the centuries…until now and New Labour’s treacherous dealings when other cultures – one in particular – have been pushed and favoured over the ‘home team’.

      • HookesLaw

Your to$$ pot comments should fool no one. You are just spouting garbage for the sake of it. The nutjobs are too daft to realise.

Multiculturalism isn’t a policy, it cannot be erased. To erase or rewrite it you would have to erase centuries of British history. Multiculturalism has enriched the UK. It is important to defend as well as celebrate multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is about tolerance
I suggest you go learn some

          • Inverted Meniscus

Hilarious coming from a troll for the Fascist Labour Party. The most authoritarian coterie of fascist scum on Britain.

          • Colonel Mustard

You lie once again. ‘Multicultural’ policies were applied informally and inconsistently by local government from the 1970s. The word as a national level policy was invented and imposed by the Labour party in 1997 without the consent of the British people. It was repudiated as early as 2001 by Goodhardt and Phillips and discredited by Cameron in 2011.

Before New Labour’s invention of multiculturalism immigrants were expected to integrate within and conform to the single rule of law of the host nation. There was no such thing as multiculturalism.

So none of your revisionist baloney.

          • GraveDave

Yes, we’ve had it for over two thousand years and yet we still disparage our own kinfolk from other regions.

yes, just like FGM, ritual killing of the unknown Nigerian boy’s torso found in the Thames, honour killing, sharia courts, misogyny, Trojan Horse scandal in Birmingham, burning of poppies, raping of white girls, raising of ISIS, Hezbollah, AQ flags, voting scandal Tower Hamlet, racism against white, Christian men, fraud, child trafficking etc that is what is enriching in Telemachus world

Over the years I’ve had several close friends and colleagues, born in the UK, but of Indian and Chinese origin. In respect of their attitudes, opinions, thoughts and general approach to UK life in general I found them pretty much indistinguishable from anyone else around me. I’m not confident that I could say that now about the many immigrants who have entered over the past 20 years. You need water, but you can also drown in it.

        • Holly

I think you’ll find it is the politicians desperate bid for votes that has torn this country apart.
We do not slavishly vote for them en masse like our parents/
grand parents did, so they shrug, think up an acceptable name for treason, and import others to vote for them instead.

Next May can not come around quick enough.
…And telemachus can delude himself that Labour will triumph, but the working class, and other minority groups know which party bestowed traitors on us, and which party continues to pander to those who would do us harm in the insane hope they will not harm us.

…And Crosby, if you are reading this, Cameron has NO CHANCE, and it ain’t because of Warsi either.

A feline response, not worthy of a Ladybird

Sayeeda was a courageous girl vis this speech in Birmingham:

“It’s been a pleasure to be here today in Birmingham to see such a wide range of people from so many different faith’s and communities. If we truly want to understand what it going on in our communities then we will have to step out of our offices in Whitehall and actually come here to these communities and have incredibly frank open conversations, which is what we had today.”

“I think we had an hour and a half of quick fire questions where we’ve been able to explore some incredibly difficult scenarios and challenges. But what I think has come back overwhelmingly is the amount of goodwill there is in faith communities the number of people that are working hard to bring different communities together but also people that are prepared to take leadership opportunities and push back on some of the hate crime individual communities are facing.

“When asked about what more can be done to deal with stereotypes against Asian women in particular she said, “I hope everyday in my own way I’m tackling misconceptions about what Asian women can do and what Muslim women can do. I think there are a lot of stereotypical views about communities out there and that’s why it’s important to be in public life and it’s important to be in leadership positions so just by doing what you are doing your challenging those stereotypes.”

ooh. bit racist there. But thats OK. you can be as racist as you want to whites.

            • Inverted Meniscus

Uh, you can’t be racist if the target is white.

Catherine says to herself: “Why is Tele talking to himself?”
Considering all the entertaining posts in response to various things you have written, well forgive me for being impertinent, but I can only think of Golom from Lord of The Rings. He was apt to talk to himself because no one liked him very much. The following Youtube clip also makes me think of those sock puppets which have been mentioned in this thread!

            That’s why she got nowhere.

            idiot

        • eclair

Really Kitty, blaming no-go areas cant be laid just at immigrants doors. There are areas within the UK white, black and indifferent, where a car with tyres is seen as a challenge and a ‘posh’ accent or a skirt enough to get you thrown out of most pubs. We’ve always had no go areas and 60% of our antecedents grew up in them. Possibly, dear lady, even yours.

          • Damaris Tighe

You raise an important point. No-go areas & paeodophile gangs aren’t confined to muslims or even immigrant communities. To what extent are these crimes, bad enough in themselves, even worse when the criminals are immigrants who may be seen to have abused our hospitality?

      • Alexsandr

no she isnt. she wished to sew hatred amongst the Muslims towards the infidels.

        • Holly

That was only after they told her what to do.

      • sarah_13

Harmony? That might ring true if she weren’t so sectarian herself and if she hadn’t brought tariq ramadan in to advise and undermine sensible practices to counter radicalisation of very young muslims. She is part of the problem. Parties should persuade on the basis of their values, not by “buying”support. If liberal values don’t resonate then we all have.

      • Callan

Yes, can’t wait to see her on Question Time with Alibhi Brown that other great advocate of all things ethnic and denigrator of all things British. With the usual BBC hand picked audience of left wing stooges it should be quite interesting. However, “Dynamic multicultural country”? Lawless multicultural midden, would be a more apposite description.

      • wudyermucuss

And the same goes for all the rest who think us infidels. Why not return home to the God forsaken hole in the desert. Instead of living in the land of milk and honey. Eating all our honey and spitting all the milk back in our faces.
I am only speaking of our lodgers who are badly behaved and should be evicted.

            • Damaris Tighe

Their numbers reached a low point in the early 20th century but have been climbing ever since. The Navahos – cousins to Geronimo’s tribe, the Apaches – have done very well by specialising in working on high rise buildings. Our Geronimo makes me laugh – a welcome antidote to the depressing seriousness of these pages.

      • Holly

She also reckons not enough is ‘being done’ to attract the muslim/minority vote, so what exactly is she after???
Her veiled threats are disgusting, and it is because she is unable to accept that she was never up to being in cabinet, so has gone off sulking.
Firing vindictive remarks at her ex boss and colleagues.
She may have been born here, but so were millions of others who she betrays by her demanding more for muslims and dressing it up under a ‘minorities’ banner.
Warsi, and her ex boss, should not be pandering to any section of society more than the other, and should not be criminalising the majority when they begin to say, ‘hey, hang on a minute’, where are our religious freedoms, and our laws to protect us against discrimination.
Mmmm, they seem to have been eradicated in all the multicultural diversity fog.

    • Junis

Why should any Muslim inconvenience themselves for right-wing clowns such a yourself? We Muslims are relatively guiltless and harmless in the UK. However, the same cannot be said of Westerners in Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, Vietnam, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Australia, North America, Diego Garcia and many more.

      • Colonel Mustard

Study some Muslim history. Istanbul was once Constantinople. Spain was invaded by muslims. Muslims practised slavery longer than anyone else and some of them are still practising it. Slave markets and Islam are an inseparable meme of history. Muslim pirates were slave raiding as far as Cornwall. Long before the Crusades the prevailing religion in the Middle East was Christian. Successive waves of dynastic muslim warlords invaded those countries and persecuted their Christian inhabitants.

        • AtMyDeskToday

Your history is largely correct, but a little selective. The Muslim caliphate in southern Spain was tolerant of all religions, accepting that the Muslim one was the established one. When they were driven out the Catholics persecuted and expelled all who were not Catholic. Most notably the Jews. So Christianity has no claim to being holier than thou.
I’ve no time for any of it frankly.

          • Colonel Mustard

Whether the muslim caliphate in Spain was tolerant or not it was an alien regime that exerted power by force of invasion.

My point was not to assert that Christians (in context) were “holier than thou” but in repudiation of Junis’ comment that muslims were guiltless and harmless. In that context of course it was selective.

      • https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUvm4NMKwWpUOWFSPBDQ6rw Paul Gilbert

guiltless and harmless well ok ask me this if you stood in the High street and yelled out God is fake and death to all Christians most if not all would carry on walking past , now if I stood in a Muslim community and yelled out Allah is fake death to all Muslims would they just still walk past and do nothing ?

        Muslims
would stab you in the back no matter if you are Young Old man women or child and you say guiltless and harmless maybe in queer land with Allah but in real life you are NOT

    • Alex Thompson

Muslims here want to turn England into a Muslim country

    • Gwangi

What Warsi is saying is not new, it is the attempted blackmail that has been used by Muslims for 25 years which says: ‘you have to do what Muslims want and change your culture, values, school system, government and foreign policy to suite us, or we’ll BLANK…’
Now, for Warsi, BLANK means ‘not vote for you’; for many other Muslims, however, it means ‘bomb you, support your enemies always, and do everything we can to destroy your country and civilisation.’
It is a threat. End of.
I do so hope the police start doing their job properly – ie stop arresting innocent people for stating opinions online, and instead focus on investigating ALL UK Muslims, including the rich and well-connected ones, and even those overpromoted token-ethnic-Muslim loudmouth b-tches like Warsi (the worst person to work for in Whitehall apparently) who, I am sure, have in some way, shape or form some dodginess in their lives somewhere.

    • thomasaikenhead

Warsi is being self serving. Having excommunicated herself she has no alternative. Her very words, by misrepresenting the truth are an attempt to make her prophesy come true. Her original and continued presence in the tory party gives lie to her claims. Resigning over fighting in Gaza which the UK govt has absolutely no control over is the flimsiest of excuses.

How have the tories moved to the left? They are cutting jobs in the public sector, they have brought in free schools – taking control away from local authorities, that have brought in welfare limits, they have brought in reforms to the NHS and are going through a massive efficiency drive. They have reformed pensions.
The tories have not moved to the left.

…or at least that’s what the H2B will tell you .

  • English Majority

This country does not belong to the ‘ethnic minorities’. They’re lucky we even ALLOWED them to come here.

What Warsi is saying is true in one way, though: the non-White foreigner population is set to become the dominant majority soon. When they are, English people will be driven to the very bottom of the pile. We will have zero power in the nation our forefathers built for us. The non-White hordes will parasitically destroy us, humiliate us and drain us until the day we’re finally all gone.

Here’s the important part: You, the media and the politicians act as if all this is something we MUST accept. You actually think we should accept a Muslim, black majority, and the filth, rape, murder, suffering and poverty that comes with it.

WE DON’T HAVE TO ACCEPT IT.

This is OUR nation. OUR forefathers built it, OUR people built every house, every building, every road, every street, every town, every city and every social service. The very SOIL and bricks contain the blood and essence of our ancestors. We do NOT want blacks and Muslims to become the majority. They shouldn’t even BE here.

Do you know who (and what) invented “islamophobia”, and why they did it?

It was first used in French in 1918. However, it came into common use (now global, and accepted as a normal word) through the propaganda actions of The Jew’s Runnymede Trust. The meaning of the word as commonly used now, was invented and promoted by The Jew, applying the jew-voodoo psych-out concept of “phobia” (a common jew tactic to pathologise normality).

Elizabeth Poole, Encyclopedia of Race and Ethnic Studies (2003), p. 218:

“The Runnymede Trust has been successful in that the term Islamophobia is now widely recognized and used, though many right-wing commentators reject its existence or argue that it is justified. However, now becoming a catch-all label for any harrassment involving Muslims, it should not be considered unproblematic.”

The Runnymede Trust is a left-wing think tank founded in 1968 by British and Israeli Intelligence officer, Jew Eliot Joseph Benn ‘Jim’ Rose, CBE. The Jew Rose was a former head of International Press Institute (after working for The Jew’s Reuter, and having been literary editor at The Observer), and was director of “Survey of Race Relations”, a six-year taxpayer-funded 800-page study into how to get Britons to accept massive post-war immigration in Britain.

(The Jew Rose: Literary Editor, the Observer, 1948-51; Director, International Press Institute, Zurich, 1951-62; Director, Survey of Race Relations in Britain 1963-69; Editorial Director, Westminster Press, 1970-74; chairman, Penguin Books, 1973-80; director, Pearson Longman, 1974-81; CBE, 1979.)

In 1996, The Jew’s Runnymede Trust established the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia. The jew-term then entered into common usage with the publication of The Jew’s Runnymede Trust’s 1997 report, “Islamophobia: A Challenge for Us All”, co-authored by Rabbi Julia Neuberger (later The Right Honorable Baroness Neuberger of Primrose Hill, DBE; author of “The ZSTory of Judaism” and “On Being Jewish”; chancellor of the University of Ulster and critic of Christian schools in Northern Ireland; The Schwab Trust was set up in her parents’ name, to help support and educate young “refugees” and “asylum” seekers), and was published in 1997 by the Home Secretary, Jew Jack Straw.

(“Islamophobia: A Challenge for Us All” was a follow-up to The Jew’s Runnymede Trust’s pamphlet from earlier that same year: “Islamophobia: its features and dangers.”)

Says the fascist who sang the praises of “the Caliph” and ISIS. How easily the vocabulary of oppression comes to you.

          • The Masked Marvel

He’s a wind-up artist, Colonel. The consummate example of a troll. He doesn’t believe what he just wrote, and did it only to get a reaction.

        • Inverted Meniscus

You just write this imbecilic sh*t to get a reaction don’t you?

          • eclair

I think he just gets paid more….ignore him.

        • Andy

You mean the religion of murder and terror.

    • ButcombeMan

Unusual for you to have an original thought, you normally tag someone else. I suppose you got bored waiting for the first post?

Wanting some control on unfettered immigration, is not racist. your smear tactics are just that. it is about numbers, not race.
      ******************
The single most offensive Tory behaviour, for many racial minorities, was pushing for redefinition of marriage. At one bound Cameron managed to offend a lot of his core support /and/ religious opinion- several religions.

Not at all smart, not in his manifesto and (allegedly) now regretted.

Too late, it could lose the next election for him.

These numbers are driving the resurgence of our economy

    • Andy

It’s Fascist scum like you and the Fascist Labour Party that are the racists. Because there are few Jewish votes, and you have these sown up, you are only too happy to appease, nay feed, Muslim bigotry, hate and anti-Semitism to gain electoral advantage. And all the time our Christian brother and sisters are being slaughter and driven from their homes and ancestral lands by Muslim bigots.

    • Inverted Meniscus

I would much rather see the vile fascist scum of the fascist Labour Party proscribed.
