‘I’m voting Ukip… because I work for them’

Ukip is the Common Sense party that listens to ordinary people. So says Lizzy Vaid, who appears on the party’s European elections manifesto as someone thrilled that Nigel Farage’s party is ‘listening to what people want’.

She should know: although Vaid looks like she’s an ordinary voter on the street, she is in fact Nigel Farage’s assistant and Ukip’s events manager. Well, it is Common Sense to vote for the party that employs you, after all.

She’s not even white! Maybe they’re holding a cane and have dogs just out of shot of the photo.

  • Si Campbell

my comments censored… typical…….i agreed with Colin. this rag is out of touch….

  • Si Campbell

On the other hand you might belive in a Party so much, like I did, that you volunteer to work for them… How does that comprimise ones principles?

    • Realpolitik

You must remember The Spectator is a Tory paper, thus, don’t recognise passion.

  • cambridgeelephant

Never mind Steerpike. I don’t work for UKIP; have never met big Nig’ and have never voted in anything since 2001.

But guess what ? Come May – I’m voting. And for guess who ?

    • Realpolitik

      Good to hear!

  • black11hawk

What’s that? UKIP supporters going berserk over a 6-line blog post, that barely anyone is going to read, never…

    • Realpolitik

Surely your former statement is undermined by your latter statement?

  • sallyroberts

Oh Dear. Bit of an own goal?

    • Realpolitik

How so? Having passionate politicians who are willing to put their face on thousands of posters, instead of hiring an actress?

How would UKIP benefit in any way in using her instead of an actress? There’s nothing sinister about it. This is just a passionate person who believes in her party.

  • amicus

    I love ukip bashing.

  • EschersStairs

It astonishes me that the converse of the headline was so studiously (stupidly?) ignored.

  • Tony_E

Things like this are just fluff – tomorrow’s chip paper. They have no real impact. In the end, the young lady was more than happy to have herself associated with the poster and must be pretty keen to support the party as she has decided to work for them. I’m sure she didn’t just apply because there was money on the table, most people who work directly for political parties have some heart in the matter.

The real problem UKIP have is that they don’t have much personal presence on the airwaves. It looks a lot like a cult of personality – disorganised and outside of a few high profile individuals just a bit of a mess.

It attempts to woo left wing voters with Paul Nuttall, Liverpool working class lad, giving the impression that their policies would be pro welfare, pro large domestic state. On the other hand, the leader Farage is all city and home counties, giving the impression of being an old fashioned Thatcherite Conservative, all small state and self reliance.

Apart from -Immigration/EU – their message is unclear to the majority of voters. What would they do economically n the UK if they did get enough seats to form a coalition with one of the other parties? Which other party would they prop up? (Surely that’s the lesson of Lib Dem loses).

Unless they get that cohesive message across, they won’t win a single seat in 2015.

    • Penny

Yes – you’re right about political visuals (e.g. leaflets, posters) etc generally portraying party members or supporters. You wouldn’t expect even at local level to find a Labour supporter agreeing to pose by a newly fixed pot hole with the Tory candidate. Similarly, in the knife-in-the-back world of politics it’s actually safer to employ party members and, as far as this poster goes, probably more sincere than employing actors.

I also agree re: policies. That said, I think that all parties will consider it practical to take one election at a time. As we’re heading for the EU elections the literature we’ll (hopefully) get through our doors will focus on the relevant parties’ stance re: EU membership. As we head towards the GE, then, naturally, domestic issues will be the priority.

  • Chingford Man

The Mail is running this story tomorrow as part of its Daily-UKIP-Bashing series. It doesn’t seem to realise that it is putting a rather good poster with the attractive Lizzy in front of people. I think people will remember its message rather than the DM getting its knickers in a twist with outrage.

    • LimesOut

Really? So you have not realised yet, that media outlets are in cahoots with UKIP election campaign? Why else would they reprint each and every poster at least 10 times since Monday?

      • Chingford Man

Cahoots? With daily smears across the media? It’s just as well that the MSM is too dumb to realise that in slagging UKIP they are putting the party in front of people every day.

        • LimesOut

Smears? Media, especially BBC are managing damage control for UKiP. Only classes CD would be stupid enough to fall for persecution myth.

  • you_kid

    A young person, alas!

    • Realpolitik

      A lass*

  • JabbaTheCat

‘I’m voting Ukip… because I work for them’

    Meh…

  • Radford_NG

    Ed Balls has got `telemachus`.
    Cameron has `HookesLaw`.

    • Colonel Mustard

Both revealing advocates for their respective parties. God help us.

    • Realpolitik

      They’re welcome to them.

  • Lady Magdalene

So…. I expect people who work for the Tories vote Conservative and people who work for the Labour Party vote Labour.
I can’t for the life of me think why anyone would ever vote LibDem.

  • Vinnie

ok so she works for them but can we now stop calling them racist as the young lady appears Asian
    it’s getting pathetic now

    • LimesOut

If anything, we should stop calling second/third generation Indians and Pakistanis ‘Asians’.

      • Realpolitik

He did use the term “appears”.

        • LimesOut

If anything, she appears very European.

  • tom jones

Watch any party political broadcast and play spot the normal person. They’re all party members/supporters/bad actors so this is nothing new whatsoever. I wouldn’t personally vote UKIP at a general election, but come on – this is a stupid article!

    • Realpolitik

      Vote liblabcon get EU.

  • Mike Barnes

Euro polling from ICM put UKIP on 27% for next month’s election.

Maybe all 27% are getting paid to do it?!

I hope I get a cheque after my vote is cast. Actually forget it, they can have my vote for free. The sheer terror they are causing the metropolitan elite is more than enough compensation.

  • Realpolitik

    The real story:

We at the Spectator were up until 3am digging
for something to print about these posters, – we found that a lady with a
foreign sounding name was on the posters which didn’t sit well with our
racist argument so we did some more digging to find out she worked for
    UKIP.

Because we support the Tories we didn’t recognise a person
could be so passionate about her party and country, that she was willing to put her
face on posters across the country rather than hiring some drone to do
it like all of the other parties, we then accidentally put this
    non-story into print”

    • telemachus

You are so pleased with that that I reproduced part for you towards the top of the thread

      • Realpolitik

        Very selective.

  • Realpolitik

You don’t think they could hire someone for this?

She did it because she’s passionate! WOW, politicians that give a damn about the British public…. no wonder the Tory Spectator can’t grasp the concept!

  • HookesLaw

A Farrage Luvvie (or Farrage Femme?) spouts rubbish, meantime our brilliant Prime Minister and our heroic Chancellor merely get on with the job of governing Britain and deliviering prosperity for all….
    http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/politics/article4069321.ece
‘Taking advantage of improving economic figures before European and local elections, the prime minister and the chancellor will announce that £36 billion will be invested in Britain’s infrastructure this financial year.’
‘Most of the £36 billion costs are being covered by the private sector. Only £5 billion is coming purely from public spending,’
‘Mr Cameron said last night that the projects coming on stream could support more than 150,000 building jobs.’
Perhaps the kippers can point to the out of work construction workers begging in the street?
Meantime I see Farage is saying that his German wife/secretary is not taking a wholsome British wench’s job. Who does he think hbe is kidding – oh yes the cultish kippers.

    • SgtVimes

Do you work at Conservative Central Office? Is this another Shapps alter ego?

      • HookesLaw

hee hee hee hee – do you have a sense of humour. Clearly not.
But in any event go ahead and ignore real politicians and statesmen getting on with running the country as Farage confirms he condemns his wife to working long and unsocial hours for a pittance rather than employ a British secretary and pay overtime.

        • Realpolitik

She probably couldn’t get any other work with all of the competition for low paying jobs these days.

          • LimesOut

Perhaps it’s because she is not very good.

            • Realpolitik

Or perhaps she shares the same passion as her husband, most people don’t marry out of desperation like yourself, they often have something in common.

              • LimesOut

Your post indicates that you are a low life who is bound on insulting people. Perhaps you should apply for Frau’s Mehr job?

      • Realpolitik

More like UKIP’s central office, he’s certainly ensuring my vote!

    • tastemylogos

      ha. hero? Deary me.

    • Realpolitik

My goodness, thanks for the laugh! Your tongue must have been firmly in your cheek while you typed that up!

      • Doggie Roussel

No, I think his tongue was in something much more fundamental than that… one can only hope that it was his own !

        • Realpolitik

Well his name is “hooke’s law” I hope he doesn’t overreach himself.

    • Lady Magdalene

This HAS to be a wind up.

  • swatnan

If you want to move up in the world its best to keep on the side of your boss.

  • zanzamander

I think it shows that not all immigrants, especially those from Hindu/Sikh/Indian back ground are uncomfortable with Ukip and its policies on immigration. In fact, I’d venture that they’re more concerned about the increasing level of multicultural oriented changes taking place in this country – their country.

I’d say that Ms Vaid has her priorities right.

  • Jez

    I’m voting UKIP…… because she’s fit!

    • Jonathan Burns

Yes she sure is fit and has sensible political views.

    • Realpolitik

Also intelligent and passionate, she could have hired any Tom Penis or Harry; but chose to stand up for what she believes in and put her face on the poster, WHAT A WOMAN! UKIP politicians really do take what happens to their country personally.

  • wayne

Scoop… EU persons have become a race

  • wayne

scoop… Racist Farage employs British person

    • HookesLaw

…pretending to be an objective voter

      • wayne

Why is she pretending to be an objective voter? Would you work for Ukip without sharing their political views? Would your employers be able to force you to pose for a national poster with views you entirely disagreed with. Well if your fantasy is correct I look forward to the follow up stories of enslavement. Of course if you were capable of objectivity and simple problem solving you`d have realised the bull already. You lefties have such low IQ`s.

        • HookesLaw

          You are thick beyond words.
Labour tried this a few years ago and got hammered for it – not least I bet by kippers. She is hiding her connection to being a paid employee of the party she is praising. In other words a load of utter propagandistic garbage.
The frantic mindless defence of everything Farage and UKIP is laughable. Farage could have a picture of Jimmy Saville on his wall and you would find an excuse to justify it.
Meantime the founder of UKIP has called Farage ‘dim, racist alcoholic’
‘The London School of Economics professor
also repeated a claim he made in 2004 that Mr Farage had once said: ‘We
will never win the n****r vote.’

          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2608676/UKIP-founder-calls-Farage-dim-racist-alcoholic-poll-says-MP.html#ixzz2zdQIpDvJ

          • southerner

“Farage could have a picture of Jimmy Saville on his wall and you would find an excuse to justify it.”
You on the other hand could return home and find Cameron and Osborne going two’s-up with your missus and would defend it as a useful attempt to get to know the public.

            • wayne

Two blokes with aces to grind feeding the feeble minded leftie trash like yourself. Bet you still believe in Santa. The country saw how far Clegg was prepared to lie to the public and as for the blatant leftie propaganda that constantly from the LSE where according to them immigration is better than the second coming you believe that garage would use the n word during a conversation with him? IDIOT. As for political parties using propaganda.. holy cow.. never! Let’s face it, you are a ………

              • southerner

You are obviously a new boy on here. Had you been following for any of the past few weeks and months you would know I am a right ring conservative who despises left wingers like Hooky and the Camerluvvies who pretend they are conservatives.

                Now who’s the IDIOT?

                • wayne

Conservatives right wing? do me favour, they are liebour in disguise. The only difference is that they don’t pretend to like the working class. You have admired their lack of liebour guile.

          • Doggie Roussel

You are thick beyond words… dangerous words from someone so patently unintelligent as yourself, Hookes…

My guess is that your IQ is probably much the same as your collar size.

          • Realpolitik

Hooke have you ever thought about working for UKIP HQ?

We love your tongue in cheek comments, you really do play the gormless labour voter well; thus encouraging people to vote for UKIP in swarms.

We can’t thank you enough, where did you study psychology; if you don’t mind me asking?

    • Realpolitik

Beautiful intelligent and passionate, she could have hired any Tom Penis or Harry; but chose to stand up for what she believes in and put her face on the poster, WHAT A WOMAN! UKIP politicians really do take what happens to their country personally.

  • Your Correspondent

What a fascinating story, I’m so glad you posted this. Brilliant piece of journalism.

  • wayne

I’ve a new scoop for you more relevant and resonating (since we are making sh0t up about anything UKip), my Girlfriends mothers grandma’s grandma said she was in an elevator with Farage and he farted and blamed it on an innocent looking Spanish guy

  • Hello

“although Vaid looks like she’s an ordinary voter on the street”

That’s a horrible thing to say. She looks very pretty, a face made for TV, and with the kind of complexion that indicates that Ukip is a party with a diverse range of supporters — they’re so different to “LibLabCon”, they don’t play to the gallery, do they?

    • HookesLaw

Farage probably thinks Vaid is an old west country name.

      • Doggie Roussel

I don’t think that Farage is as thick as you, Hookes…

        • Realpolitik

Do you think ‘Hooke’ knows there’s meant to be an apostrophe before the “S” and a space in his name?

  • James Allen

    Ken Clarke’s a fan, I see…..

  • cargill55

She works for UKIP and votes for UKIP .
    Sensible girl.

    • you_kid

stop making stuff up – she is paid to do this work, it’s not about sense.

      • Realpolitik

I don’t think someone would work for a Political organisation which they didn’t believe in. Possible, but unlikely, I don’t think they’d hire her unless she showed passion for the cause.

Being paid for something and believing in something aren’t mutually-exclusive characteristics.

        • you_kid

Then label your ads properly or I will get a Banksy type to add value.
Believe me, we believe in what we do without taking money.

          • Realpolitik

It was labelled properly, the only people who care are the ones who are unable to look at it objectively.

So because she was paid she can’t believe in it?

  • Colin

I assume she works for UKIP because she agrees with what they stand for. As a result, voting for UKIP is entirely natural. It’s not as if the likes of labour or the tories would ever consider using platoons of stooges in advertising campaigns.

You attack her and her party, because, as part of the Political / Media Complex, the rise of UKIP terrifies you.

    • Tim Reed

“It’s not as if the likes of labour or the tories would ever consider using platoons of stooges”

Like all those jubilant, smiling members of the public who ‘spontaneously’ lined the streets to wave Tony And Cherie into Downing Street in 1997, who certainly weren’t party activists or workers…oh no.

      • Realpolitik

I think the fact the media have been digging for this non-story says it all, but it’s backfired spectacularly as UKIP could have hired any drone to do it, but she is so passionate and believes in UKIP so much that she’s willing to put here face on posters across the country!

    • telemachus

      Not only racists
      But fraudsters

      • Tim Reed

        ^Ignore the bore.

      • helicoil

Nope, your argument (such as it is) still doesn’t make sense, carry weight or convince me of anything other than your ineptitude.

        • telemachus

Today’s Farage presentations were reminiscent of Nick Griffin
And if this post is not fraud then we have the expenses evidence from last week

          • Realpolitik

CAN EVERYONE COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING UNDER TELEMACHUS’S COMMENTS; ONE DAY HE MIGHT READ THEM.

            LABOUR:

            1. they start taxing at £6,500…….. compared to the coalition’s £10,500..if they represented the working man why tax low-paid workers so harshly forcing them onto benefits as they are better off on them?????)

            2. they didn’t regulate the banks in 13 years. (Blair now a banker worth upwards of 60 MILLION- and he started the new labour movement…..) Google “Peter Mandelson on yacht with Nat Rothschild” “Google Brown at Bilderberg” etc.

            3. more tax has been paid by top earners EVERY year under the coalition than ANY under labour.

            4. They want to increase debt BY £3,200 per person

            5. spend 11.6% more than they take in tax.

            6. they destroyed our economy. Labour presided over the slowest growth in 50 years, they produced the fastest decline in British manufacturing since manufacturing began, they left us mired in the longest recession since the war, they bequeathed maybe the largest deficit in peacetime history, and they handed over a debt so huge we will still be repaying it when the earth is swallowed by an expanding sun, a cosmological termination which might therefore come as some relief.

            7. they want to continue to send 57million a day to the EU

            8. they want higher immigration (last time allowed the biggest mass immigration into the United Kingdom in our nation’s history: three million people, possibly more than entered these island in the preceding 1,000 years combined.)

            9. they have destroyed the NHS in Wales (where they are currently in power, why wouldn’t they do it here too?????- the coalition have ring-fenced our NHS budget so they CAN’T cut it, but labour will.) Our last labour government blew £250,000,000 on private surgery because their NHS was so bad1,200 died in Mid-Staffordshire Hospital alone, that’s more than died in Mid-Staffordshire during the Black Death.
along with their gagging orders on whistle blowers within the NHS

            10. they raid the pensions.

            11. Iraq+Afghanistan.

12.They sold off 400 tons of UK gold reserves and invested the money elsewhere (including in euros, compare the change in the value of gold to the change in the value of the euro in recent years if you have some free time).

            13. run by the unions

            14. They bloated the welfare budget.

            15. They didn’t keep up with house building when demand rocketed, allowing house prices to triple

            16. They failed to build a lot of necessary infrastructure such as power stations.

            17. they didn’t invest in infrastructure (despite borrowing 1 trillion and taking 13 years of tax) Well, yes: they built the Millennium Dome. It’s easy to forget the Millennium Dome, because, after all, who would want to remember it, but this thing burned up 800 million pounds, was maybe the greatest marketing flop in recorded time, and it turned out to be a great big dirty tent where queueing families could pay £60, just to look at uplifting representations of litter.

            18. They continually increased fuel duty by over 107%, harming motorists.

            19. They signed the Lisbon treaty, giving vast amounts of power to the EU and going against their own manifesto in with they specifically said they would give the people a referendum.

            20. Allowing rich people to buy peerages.

            21. Started HS2

            22. They left us with the largest budget deficit in the G20 relative to GDP.

23.They lumbered the NHS with vast PFI repayments which are coming out of Foundation trusts and straight into the pockets of the private sector. £50 Billion’s worth of loans which are costing us £300 Billion in repayments-genius!…….

            24. Housing waiting lists DOUBLED under Labour

            25. Europe. labour’s biggest achievement in Europe was to give away half our precious rebate, won by Thatcher, at a cost to you and me of £9 billion so far – and in return they got precisely nothing, unless you count a chortling, after-dinner promise from Jacques Chirac, that he’d make Tony Blair President of the EU, which he didn’t. A small mercy.

            26. Education. ensuring English youngsters are amongst the worst educated in the western world, and closing the grammar schools preventing the poor from achieving.

            27. giving everyones personal information to america

28.google “labour MP wants muslim prime minister”

            29. they can’t even run their party finances ( lost 2 million recently in banking)

            30. The party is almost identical to the previous labour government who got us in to this mess (ed balls).

            31. Google “labour25”

            32. Medi Hassan wrote Miliband’s biography is a militant muslim who described westerners as animals (a video you can find on here)

            33. The espouse the same political policies and views as the French President Hollande which is destroying France, where the rich have left youth unemployment is at 25% and they have seen the largest drop in investment for over 60 years.

            34. 5 Labour MPs—and no Tories or Lib Dems—have been found guilty of expenses fraud by a court and sent to prison. Ed Balls claimed £33 parliamentary expenses for poppy wreaths he had laid at his constituency ceremony.

            35. Diane Abbott, Ed Miliband, Ed Balls, etc.

            36. labour corruption privatisation of Qinteq defence service making LABOUR Lord Drayson worth over £542 MILLION

As for the Labour Party right now, they’ve opposed every cut that aims to tackle the deficit their party created and are not offering a plan of what they would do differently. Apart from keeping all the cuts (which they are opposed to)

I suggest you go down to Tower Hamlets and talk to a few mothers scrimping a few coins just so that their children have shoes to walk to school in

                • Realpolitik

If the people in Tower Hamlets don’t work what are they doing here??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And let’s stop immigration to ensure the good people of Tower Hamlets can get jobs!!!!

                • Wessex Man

                  see above.

                • Colonel Mustard

You told us before they don’t have shoes. Now they have shoes paid for by “scrimping a few coins”. Which is it?

And please tell us where these bargain shoes can be found for a few coins.

Alternatively just admit to your BS and lying.

                • Realpolitik

He can’t win this argument, its a catch 22.

Either the people are lazy (immigration has failed us and its the people of TH’s fault that they can’t afford shoes)

Or there are no jobs – (then cut immigration as we don’t need more immigrants we can’t use/ that are depriving the THs people of jobs).

This PROVES Telemachus stands on the graves of the THs people to force his flawed ideology under the umbrella of caring for them, when in reality he is causing them to be poor.

I would love him to try to talk his way out of this.

                  Poverty is a disease
                  A cancer on our society
You have to look at the broad picture
We have an immediate duty to help those families caught by the cost of living crisis as their low paid jobs do not meet family needs
We have a longer term duty to the ageing population to ensure adequate societal wealth for their health social and pension needs. Only vigorous migrant blood can do this
                  *
Only socialism can conquer the cancer

                • Colonel Mustard

Why do you refer to me as ‘Nicholas’? What advantage do you think that conveys? What motivates that?

The same sociopathic nonsense that leads you to refer to people as “son” or “sunshine” and to take refuge in silly attributions like “revanchist”?

You can’t control what people choose to write and think by attaching labels to them. In fact your obsessive compulsive behaviour and control freakery here is probably doing more to turn people off the Labour party than anything else.

                • Realpolitik

Once again you ignore the questions.

You talk about how these people struggle in low-paying jobs, yet vote for a party whom tax them on every penny they earn over £6,500, and criticise the current government for not helping them when the current government have allowed them to earn £10,500 tax free.

That my friend is the hypocrisy of the left.

How will “migrant” blood help? LOOK AT OUR UNEMPLOYMENT STATISTICS! Why are you so opposed to getting our own people to work? You claim to be a socialist, are the people on benefits lazy? or are there no jobs?

No it is not self-evident. It is a presumption that betrays your prejudice. Plenty of poor people advocate conservatism. The idea that it is for the rich is Labour propaganda.

Stop trying to control everything and everyone.

Says the man who thinks the price of a loaf is £1.45, you’re just another cardiganed Guardian reader who picks sirloin steak out of his teeth with a gold toothpick while typing his socialist spiel over the blogs.

45p in Aldi, start buying your bread there, you hypocrite.

                • Realpolitik

Perhaps you can address my comment on your Tower Hamlets spiel? You
claim that these people can’t afford shoes, why is this? Can they not
find work? Why not? Is there a lack of jobs? Then why are we letting
more immigrants in? Why did we let the people of Tower Hamlets in
(majority born abroad) when they are not working?

                • Baron

Hurrah, you have moved to Tower Hamlets then. How is it, telemachus, tell us, please.

                • wayne

You should go to tower hamlets to see the poor immigrants scrimping enough money together for make some special shoes

I’m no expert in the misuse of our money by the political class, but I’m fairly sure that Nigel doesn’t receive expenses, more that he’s entitled to allowances. So, where’s your evidence that he’s an expenses fraudster ?

Any more of your silly nonsense and I’ll be forced to out you. Your true identity may come as a bit of a revelation for the peeps on this site. Play nice and listen to your uncle Jim.

              • lily of the valley

You are an idiot. Grow up and stop patronising immigrants and “poor people”. Immigrants will all grow old and need their pensions sorted out, unless you believe like other idiot leftists I have encountered that Polish migrants conveniently leave the UK before they get old.

          • Penny

It’s an “allowance” not “expenses”. Very different things, telemachus.

      • Realpolitik

You don’t think they could hire someone for this? She did it because she’s passionate! WOW, politicians that give a damn about the British public.

        • telemachus

          The point is the misrepresentaion
“she is in fact Nigel Farage’s assistant and Ukip’s events manager.”
          You cannot trust these folkl

          • Realpolitik

            I agree, they should said:

“I work for UKIP and am so passionate and care so much for my country that instead of hiring a random actor (like all the other parties do )I have offered to put my face on thousands of posters across the country”

But advertising is meant to be punctual.

            • telemachus

It is a bit like putting up Lynton Crosby on a Tory poster as an enthusiastic business man
              It is dishonest
              *
I guess UKIP voters are comfortable with dishonesty if it achieves their Powellite s

              • Realpolitik

I don’t think it is particularly dishonest, what’s the gain? He could have hired someone for the job. It was an obvious choice to have here on the poster, she’s passionate and wants to stand by her party.

Perhaps they could have included a little asterisk at the bottom explaining she was a UKIP employee, but really, who cares?

              • Realpolitik

I don’t see what’s dishonest about it; she’s passionate about UKIP, can you explain what UKIP gained from doing this? You make it sound like some conspiracy. They could have hired any drone but they believe in their party.

          • telemachus

“We at the Spectator were up until 3am digging for something to print about these posters, – we found that a lady with a foreign sounding name was on the posters which didn’t sit well with our racist argument so we did some more digging to find out she worked for UKIP.”
            You said this lower down
I thought it was an elegant way to brush aside fraud

            • Realpolitik

Where’s the fraud? She DOES vote for UKIP, the poster isn’t lying, it just doesn’t explain her employment record.

      • saffrin

If you’re referring to Nigel Farage’s office ‘allowances’, I feel you need to understand the EU pays all its MEP’s office ‘allowances’.
These ‘allowances’ are allowances’ and not expenses that he or anyone else has claimed for.
That said, you are a fine one to talk considering the LABOUR PARTY have seen more of its criminal fraudsters imprisoned than any other
and as you bring up the ‘racist card’, how is it LABOUR have welcomed several BNP councilors?

      • Realpolitik

The EU spent 3 BILLION of tax-payer’s money on the “YES” campaign. UKIP is the single party representing the “NO” campaign…….

      • Baron

You forgot the most damaging thing, telemachus, they also fry babies for breakfast, with eggs, the sunny side up.

        • telemachus

          See above
Farage only advocates frying immigrant babies

          • Realpolitik

Should we be encouraging “immigrant babies”? The healthcare requirements, school places housing, childcare benefits etc. Whilst not having paid into the system “all with love from me, to you.”

Not the type of immigrants the left advertise, young doctors who want to pay into the system. Thanks for sharing the truth!

    • Si Campbell

Well said… My feelings entirely, The editor of this rag looks like a chiseled beaver on HIGNFY.

  • wayne

Doesn’t matter who she works for she’s spot on everyone is saying the same. Except you brain washing journo’s of course. The spectator should get a proper hard working journo in to replace this idiot. I hear Romanians are cheap

    • Realpolitik

      The real story:

We at the Spectator were up until 3am digging for something to print about these posters, – we found that a lady with a foreign sounding name was on the posters which didn’t sit well with our racist argument so we did some more digging to find out she worked for UKIP.

Because we support the Tories we didn’t recognise a person could be so passionate about her party, that she was willing to put her face on posters across the country rather than hiring some drone to do it like all of the other parties, we then accidentally put this non-story into print”

  • bugshead

So what ? An attractive young woman with an ethnically Indian surname who works for UKIP. Makes the point rather well I think. Thank God the Speccie has some decent journalists, this type of half baked crap is rather dispiriting.

  • Pootles

So, f***ing what ? I see she isn’t put off by the alleged ‘racism’ of UKIP’s new poster campaign – and neither are the majority of first and second generation immigrant voters either, regardless of what Mike Gapes MP says. Oh, and given that Gapes has spent a few decades in Westminster, and all his working life in Labour politics, might he like to retire and give his job to a Romanian or a Somali – they’d do it for a fraction of the price, and would be harder working, more diverse etc etc.

    • HookesLaw

      • alabenn

        ‘assistant’ eh…?
Do you mean to say that a pretty young ethnic girl cannot get a job because of merit.
You really are the racist, you imply she is close to Farage in a more personal way.
You lose both ways, you show what a bitter jealous man you are, it also says you have nothing better to say, so you descend to turgid muck raking.

        • HookesLaw

hee hee hee ….. You clearly do not know of the accusations against Farage. What a bore you are, what an deluded cultist you are defending Saint Nigel.
