‘One Pound Fish’ singer deported

Everything you need to know about the fallen state of our political and cultural capital is captured by the story of Muhammad Nazir. A Pakistani immigrant who came here to study at a now defunct college, he took part-time work in Queen’s Market, East London, and was filmed singing a bizarre yet inexplicably catchy song about ‘One Pound Fish.’ Nazir’s innocence, rubbery grin, and fluvial Bollywood cadences made the experience all the more endearing.

[Alt-Text]

The video went viral; Nazir went on X Factor; and he was signed by Atlantic Records. Nazir eventually ranked 29th in the Christmas charts, a formidable accomplishment considering he was just five spots behind the chicly grace of Adele.

As these things go, Nazir was due back in Pakistan today after being told that, once his college went bust he could no longer satisfy the terms of his visa. One wonders how much longer he would have remained in the country had his newfound fame not brought him to the attention of Home Office mandarins. But what of the thousands of other Nazirs who continue to live here illegally because they haven’t channelled the spirit of Orpheus? And what a damning indictment of the British deportation system that Nazir is removed while the likes of Abu Qatada continue to live here at our patronage.

Look, guys, racial abuse is pointless. We are all in this country and must make the best of it, together. Boris Johnson said as much the other day and he was completely right. He’s the one Tory I would vote for, bless his big heart.

Over the centuries, no people has emigrated and taken over other lands in such large numbers as the British. Coloured immigration in the UK pales by comparison (nicely
    paradoxical imagery!).

The British changed a lot of countries without asking their opinion; they must not be surprised if their own country changes a bit too without their choosing.

Using the proverbial English sense of humour would also help. The Roman in their day spread all over their empire and, I imagine, had enough sense of humour not to expect to keep non-Romans out of Rome. It’s what empires bring: a measure of multiculturalism.

We are all speaking English anyway. Even this deportee was a teacher of English, it seems. We have taken on English identity. Shakespeare is our writer. That’s a victory for England.

In time, there will be assimilation and no-one will be able to tell the difference. Give it a couple of generations.

Countries that spread their culture successfully are all hospitable to multiculturalism – like Britain, Spain and Portugal. Those like Japan that are monocultural end up culturally marginalised.

Who writes the best English around here anyway?

    • Austin Barry

Well, it’s certainly not you my egocentric chum – ‘craic’ and ‘prolly’ indeed.

      • Daniel Maris

LOL I said on the “craic” thing he must be using some voice recognition system.

    • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Raman may well be in this country, but that does not mean his opinion is of as great a weight as that of a person whose family has been here for a thousand years. Being in a country is not the same as being of a country.

  • BoiledCabbage

Those forced to leave the Army etc, for whatever reason, should be fast-tracked into UK Border Agency.

  • Daniel Maris

I would just like to reiterate he has not been deported. He got a letter from the Border Agency and has since decided to go back to Pakistan for a while. That’s not deportation. That’s travel.

    • ShoeOnHead

daniel maris, does that mean the terrorists have won?

      (shoe on head)

      • Daniel Maris

Pleased to say your question makes no sense, so I don’t have to answer it. :)

    • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Surely if he gets a letter saying his permission to stay is revoked and he ups & leaves, this is a good thing and tells you that the system (at least in this case) works. Do you need him to be shackled onto a PIA flight with four heavies from G4S holding him down for your sense of justice (vengeance?) to be fulfilled? Sheesh.

      • Daniel Maris

I think you are displaying your own prejudices there Rahul. I’ve no particular beef about the guy and the probability is that he will be allowed back in soon as a Pakistani entertainer. End of story…of that individual.

My concern is with the immigration system. I broadly back the Migration Watch proposals on immigration and also withdrawal from the EU so that we can reclaim control of our borders.

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Eh, end of story now but not on your last comment where you were so focused on whether he was deported or travelling? My prejudices? WTF?

          • Daniel Maris

            Rahul,

Since you clearly are still struggling a bit with the language of the Bard (“craic” and “prolly” – no disrespect intended, as I am still struggling with the language of Moliere) let me give you the relevant definition of deportation:

“The expulsion from a country of an undesirable alien”

Expulsion is an act performed by one party on another. Nazir left the country voluntarily, having purchased his own ticket and with no officials overseeing his departure. That is clearly NOT deportation.

            • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

U still haven’t told us why you are so keen that he be “deported”.

              • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Deportation is a punishment for someone who has committed a crime. Asking a burglar to kindly stop robbing people isn’t the same as convicting him of a crime and suggests that he might start up his criminal behaviour whenever he likes without sanction.

          • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Does Rahul live in this country?

  • george

Deported? Deportation only takes place after a criminal sentence. There is Removal or Voluntary Return..and this guy Voluntarily Returned! Some rubbish journalism here.

    • Daniel Maris

      I’ve said the same myself.

    • Karla

They all originally meant the same thing.

  • Karla

We also need a scheme of both voluntary repatriation and sponsored third-country emigration, really, at least for those from Pakistan and Northern India, and in future also Somalia (the odd Hindu, Sikh and Christian however ought to be able to stay)!

    • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

How many people from Somalia benefit the wider society of the UK?

      • Karla

That doesn’t really even matter! England is England, and Somalia is Somalia. They can’t just come in here, and set up shop here for the next 200 years with their own separate language, religion and culture!

  • jasonjapanwhite

    Hey, the
guy’s working and presumably contributing to the economy. Which is a lot more
than can be said for all those
    indigenous
    scroungers.

Any chance you can get the formatting sorted for Apple users, Indy?

    • Guest

Can he and his extended family with the cousins come and live with you in Japan, and why not?

      • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Good idea. Let all those who object to British actions from afar put up with the same things for a while. All Somalian immigrants should be redirected to Japan.

    • Guest

The Indy? Are you on some kind of painkillers over in Japan?

  • http://twitter.com/rpsmohan JstMyWondering

Ok Guys ..First of all ..He was a Children of Once CommonWealth .. before Some Countries became Excluded.. Cause AustrlA is more Prospectfull and Connected that India.. Which was Ruled for 200 years .. then was kicked out of the Club..because they Used Non-Violence to regain republicanism..He is a Human Being.. its Not All his Fault too.. It was the Homeoffice Who were Sleeping While these Bogus Colleges were Exploited..MeanWhile in the Commons .. the Opposition were taking notes interestingly..hhaa Common Sense Rules the Day.. Thank You.

    • Karla

No, first of all, he is a child of the Islamic Ummah.

    • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

He’s a human being with his own country – Pakistan. He should help to make that less of the hell hole it is before leaving and trying to benefit from other people’s industry.

  • Just An Opinion

Glad he is gone. And good riddance.

He contributed nothing to this country. He has a wife and 4 children in Pakistan. He was here on a student visa. He broke the terms on which he was allowed in the country. Probably because it is so endemic amongst his community, to come in on a student visa and work, or worse, that he assumed the British do nothing about flagrant immigration breaches. And he would be right. In London, it’s just normal to flagrantly disregard and exploit our emigration rules. But unfortunately for him, he made it too obvious, far to obvious.

But now it is announced he intends to return to the UK on a French visa. So much for his respect for our laws.

YouTube views generate no money. 6 million views on YouTube is worth a just a few hundred pounds in royalties, to be divided up between all the vested interests. Don’t believe me ?

Rihanna or any other international superstar can appear on a British TV show such as the X Factor where 10 million people view her performance, therefore Rihanna had 10 million views. Rihanna will be paid the standard Musicians Union rate of something like £188.

Rihanna can have her single played on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, to an audience of 7 million listeners, which is 7 million listens. A royalty of around £50 is divided up variously between publishers and performers. In it’s chart lifetime, that song might get less than 100 plays in two months. Commercial radio pay about 10% of BBC Rates. A single play to several million listeners on commercial radio will pay about £5.

His “Hit Single” in real terms probably earnt bugger all in real terms. He sold about 12,000 to get to No 29. These days a download is 79p. PR, Radio and TV promoters will chew up 10,000 to 15,000 a month. The video will could have cost 10,000. There are photo shoots, adverts to design, adverts to place in the press and on radio. The entire revenue have been eaten up in expenses. Most music artists technically owe their record company money.

    He contributed nothing.

    • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

I think u need to explain how you believe this person will enter the UK with a French visa given the existence of border controls between the UK and France.

      • Just an Opinion

The man has given dozens of quotes to the Pakistani media upon his triumphant homecoming. Several are quoted as saying he will attempt to return to the UK on a French Visa. Either they are wrong, or he was misquoted.

“Given the existence of border controls between the UK and France.” Oh, God, please don’t make me laugh ! You heard of this little place called Sangatte, I guess ?

But, oh God, it gets worse for him. The guy appears to have signed a contract with a production company, who then signed him to a record label. He never actually got a record deal.

The millions of YouTube views translate to simply a couple of thousand in royalties at best.

His track sold 11,500 downloads to make No 29. The Gross retail value would have been less than £10,000. By the time Amazon and iTunes take their cut, then pass the rest onto the record company, who take their “expenses” and pass it on to the production company, who take their “expenses” and pass on his cut. HE WILL NOT SEE A PENNY ! And all that for blowing his immigration status. With his head down, like hundreds of thousands of others, he would never have been found.

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

So is your answer that you don’t think the border controls work? It’s funny that I ask you a specific question, you don’t quite answer it and then go on back to your old agenda.

          • Just an Opinion

And what, pray, is my agenda ?

He is no loss. He had a wife and 4 children in Pakistan. Better for them he returned now. He might have never, and 4 children lose a father.

Do you think he is a loss to the UK ?

What has he actually contributed to the economy ? Did his time in the UK represent a net contribution, or a net expense. We will never know.

            • Daniel Maris

And answer came there none…Rahul always dodges the difficult questions.

              • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Rahul appears to live in the US

          • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

Of course border controls are not working. They are as porous as a sieve. Indeed many of the controls have been designed to be porous.

  • Fishy Fred

Round all his illlegal mates up and deport them too

  • Junis

The law is an ass and in particular some British laws. For this reason and the fact that the UK is a racist country, poor Mohammed Nazir had to be deported back to Pakistan.

    • Malfleur

We are not “a racist country” – what does that mean by the way – it’s just that the insane and criminally oriented muslim ideology, with its perverse and barbaric father figure Mohammed, is deeply incompatible with our culture. I would add that if we ever persuade the political class, and its creatures such as – well no names, no pack drill, I almost mentioned HooksLaw – to focus on reducing illegal immigration, it would be in England’s best interest (they don’t seem that keen on going to Wales and Scotland for some reason) to concentrate on the illegal muslims, who seem to cause trouble and bring backwardness wherever they turn up, and regardless of whether those muslims are Nigerian, Thai, Somalian, Indonesian, Kosovan or Australian.

      • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

U may not be a racist but you sure are an Islamo-phobe. Disgusting.

        • Hexhamgeezer

Define ‘Islamophobe’ please – if you can.

          This should be fun…

          • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

            Lol, just look within sport.

            • Daniel Maris

So you can’t define this term you just used…odd indeed.

Which parts of Islamic belief, given you implicitly have no fear of the ideology, do you particularly recommend as improving of our culture?

Is it Mohammed’s personal example as someone who strongly opposed slavery, protected innocent children, argued for peace between nations, promoted gender equality, forewent self-gratification, showed tolerance to other religions, banned the use of torture, advised honesty in describing one’s religious opinions, opposed ethnic cleansing on the Arabian peninsula etc*? Or maybe Sharia law? Or the stupendous practical achievements of Islamic nations? Or the fine record of peace promotion over the last 1400 years of Islamic activity?

              * Clue: the English love irony.

        • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

          Yes, what is an islamophobe.

    • mr. blobby

I say again, if you don’t like Britain, p*ss off back to your sh*thole, backward, ancestral home of Pakistan. Go, on – f*ck off now. Do it. This country will be better off without you and all the racist third world ar*eholes we’ve imported over the years from Africa and Asia.

  • Nana A

Never mind you have had the opportunity of being a celeb and probably you’ll be a millionaire back in Pakistan. Good luck

    • Just an Opinion

” Never mind you have had the opportunity of being a celeb ”

Oh my god. A celebrity. Is their a higher form of human attainment or achievement ?

” you’ll be a millionaire back in Pakistan.”

No he won’t. Do not confuse ” Fame ” with ” Fortune “. Likely, local blockhead criminals will though, and somebody will end up kidnapped for a ransom he cant pay, cos he won’t have earnt any money.

Most one hit wonders are brutally exploited. They get the pop star treatment, and assume the royalty cheques will follow. They never do, because it is all eaten up in expenses. Several years later, they come back with a lawyer, and it gets even messier. At that point it is like bald men fighting over a comb.

  • johnnyzooph

Typical attitude of this country and the w@nkers posting
on here. The guy comes here for a better life and instead of languishing on
benefits and screaming racism at every opportunity he gets a jobs. Life
conspires and someone makes a tongue in cheek video of him that lands him a
record deal, a hit record and the ability to pay a shed load of tax and
contribute to his adopted country and what do we do… kick him out? This could
have been a real feel good/success story at this time of year. Instead is highlights
the petty bureaucracy and lack of common sense approach that has become the
norm in our once great country.

    • Just an Opinion

He was welcome to come here for a better life.

All he had to do was follow the rules.

It appears he didn’t, so he has to go.

    • http://www.coffeehousewall.co.uk/ Coffeehousewall

If he is going to be a success then it is better he be a success in his own country of Pakistan where his family live and will be proud of him.

  • Raymond St. Pope

The law is the law .. full stop. Of course he should go back where he came from. Sentiment does not come into it.

  • belbylafarge

You either have a tough imigration policy or you do not. There should be no eceptions to the law and the rules and being able to sing a silly song does not qulify. His was a necessary disposal.

    • Peter

WOW Human beings traditionally had been travelling ,Passport
Visas started 100 years ago…What you declare of British people
Who entered India as Traders and toppled the Mughals to become Rulers of India,,,That was absolutely LEGAL hahahah Now you blame Immigrants coming to UK for the selfishness & New competition from China effects of British Society.
All the problems, recession.unemployment are due to poor immigrants hahahha

What about a Native American start complaining about ILLEGAL European Migrants including the FIRST ILLEGAL COLUMBUS on American soil
Be Mature WAKE UP..CHINA will lead the world very soon

  • http://www.facebook.com/elaine.wills.5 Elaine Wills

Yes but he was easier to find was’nt he? You can’t expect Immigration Officers to actually go and LOOK for over stayers, can you?

  • onamission

All this talk about deportation, yet hundreds of thousands on immigrants are entering the UK each year and not one of the main political heads want to stop it.

Will you help put a stop to it by voting UKIP or will you be one of those that just talk about it.

    Action not words…..

  • David Ossitt

    “One Pound Fish’ singer deported”

Good, only another couple of million or so to go.

  • Boudicca_Icenii

If he was here illegally, then he SHOULD have been deported. Just because he was working illegally and sang a catchy song, doesn’t give him the right to stay.
Qatada is still here because our Political Elite have no guts; no spine and are scared of their own shadows.

  • kalay gandu

Geez Eddie, how much time do u spend creating new IDs. Also your attempt to use Urdu profanity is both ironic and ridiculous.

      • Eddie

And thus you prove yourself a moron and a tit – which you can add to your already well-proven titles of racist, hypocrite and liar.

You are proving yourself as mental as Sarah, paranoid that anyone who attacks you muct be a version of the poster who has outargued you.

Wrong again, ganchud. But then, Indians and Pakis do so love their conpircay theories eh (when they’re not busy hating each other and calling each other racist names)
You owe me an apology, ganchud. No doubt. like most of your kind, you lack the manners and honour.

  • gary

    pathetic democracy

  • Daniel Maris

Please – EVERYONE – google on “One Pound Fish Man Deported”.

You won’t find a SINGLE story confirming that he has been deported.

So is this what the Spectator has been reduced to? – peddling completely inaccurate stories – as long as they fit in with its pro-mass immigration line?

  • You Dug ITLieInIt

Actually why don’t you get some decent columnists, period? Skanky article. Skanky writer. Delighted to report I cancelled my standing order. I won’t support white middle class entitlement Eton messes or the supply of Class A drugs at Speccie parties. Go on, censor me. It’s what you lot do, that’s why the empire failed and this is now a third world country. Deport me? Oh yes please.

    • Daniel Maris

Yeah – great post. LOL! It might take them some time to censor it as
well as they are all out in the Cotswolds over the holiday pretending to
      be country folk. :)

  • Border Boy

Many colleges which got a licence from UKBA to issue invitation letters to foreign students were, effectively, given the right issue student visas under the deeply flawed points based system introduced in 2008/9. Under PBS visa offices overseas are not allowed to apply any subjective criteria like asking: “does this application make sense in the context of the applicant’s economic and social circumstances.” The result was that institutions which were little more than corner shops were issuing invites to people whose primary purpose was work rather than study. An inevitable tightening up by UKBA of the criteria for issuing licences to colleges meant that many joke colleges lost their licences and their “”students” were left without any long term basis of stay.

As for Abu Qatada not being deported that is a consequence of judicial activism and a misplaced interpretation of what human rights means. The UKBA/ Home Office could not have tried harder to remove him from the UK.

  • Robert

What’s sad about this? his college went bust, he couldn’t meet the terms of his visa, so he was deported. What’s unfair about that?

There should no special terms for anyone here illegally. They should all be sent back whence they came, we don’t want them, we can’t afford them, and we can’t house them, we’re full up.

  • Daniel Maris

“Nazir was deported back to Pakistan today” – where’s your source Shiraz? There’s lots of stories headlined “one pound fish man deported” on the internet but nothing to suggest he has been – only that he’s been told he has to go.

If he’s got any sense he will have lodged an appeal under human rights legislation claiming he has a family life over here.

    • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

You disappoint me Daniel. Such sense on banking, so little sense on both immigration and human rights legislation.

      • Daniel Maris

So you don’t have a source for him being deported either.

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

I was referring to the rest of your post :-) Feel like we should trust Shiraz to have had his stuff fact checked. Maybe I’m naive?

          • Daniel Maris

Yes you are completely naive. You believe Shiraz knows more about this case than the whole of the internet. LOL

            • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Lol – who should I trust, a journalist at a magazine who has a fact checker and a reputation to protect or random dudes on the Internet who are anonymous. Hmmm lemme think about that one.

Bunch of racists. he got deported? ..fine..why the negative and racist comments..this country will follow the path of nazi germany soon..and you folks will became SS soldiers burning pakistani and other non british and illegal immigrants in bournmouth holocaust

    • Colonel Mustard

The only people in danger of emulating the SS are the sort of people behind the politically correct barminess and one party state aspirations of the Rotherham SS. And, er, they are not conservatives concerned about immigration…

    • http://www.facebook.com/lucifersibley Alex Sibley

Thats a great idea. That would stop people coming here but think about the people that come here not for a better way of life and benefits. What about the people that come here for the weather. Some immigrants hardly ever see rain

    • Derek

      Why pick on Bournemouth?

  • http://twitter.com/realpolitikhome realpolitikhome

“Everything you need to know about the fallen state of our political and
cultural capital is captured by the story of Muhammad Nazir”.

Erm, no it is not. Quite the contrary.

I had been wondering all along how a guy from Pakistan could just come to the UK 18 months ago to sell fish. Not exactly the kind of skilled labour our economy needs. Of course, he seems a decent chap and the song is as funny as it is annoying but for once the border agency does something right and people criticise it because “he was on X Factor”.

Just because we cannot deport Qatada does not mean we should stop deporting illegal immigrants full stop. What kind of logic is that?

  • http://www.facebook.com/richard.stanfordbrown Richard Stanford Brown

How come Abu Qatada gets a big house and loads of cash, yet “£1 Fish Man” who’s paying his own way, busting his arse off at the fish market and has also got a recording contract, is removed so fast his feet don’t touch the ground?

    • http://twitter.com/realpolitikhome realpolitikhome

Because the issue is a bit more complex than that. One pound fish man’s visa had expired. Qatada had been granted asylum in the UK but cannot be deported currently as there is a risk that evidence obtained by torture would be used in his criminal trial in Jordan. Not saying I agree with the courts’ reasoning in the latter case but there is a clear distinction between the two cases.

Can we get Qatada to work in Queen’s fish market while awaiting resolution of his status?

  • Austin Barry

Just one found fish from a sea of illegals. London is a lost, foreign city.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=586956743 Ben McPherson

Nonsense. You don’t understand London. That’s a different matter.

      • Austin Barry

An incoherent post. What do you mean, exactly?

        • HooksLaw

No its coherent – its you that is not

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EUA2VSWULS5V2EVXILPFEH4ARA Derek

What this country needs to get the economy moving is more songs about fish.

  • Madame Merle

This story is a perfect illustration of the bizarre and erroneous way British immigration law, such as it is, is perceived by the rest of the world.

Had I been in Nazir’s spot I would have done my damnedest to keep as low a profile as possible.

Perhaps it is the reputation for extreme tolerance or the current mania for eccentric talent or Britain’s endearing way of welcoming the world and his wife with open arms that allows people to think that anything goes.

It does not and, for once, the agency responsible did the right thing by chucking Nazir out. There is a limit.

  • Madame Merle

As I understand it, students were told they would have to reapply for visas and their passports were confiscated, thus stranding them here.

This was a big mistake. In my opinion the students should have been allowed to travel and later informed that they should go to the appropriate British consulate to obtain a visa prior to their return to the UK.

Why can’t visas be issued in the students own country rather than once they are at large in the UK?

  • Justathought

It is a great loss to let such talent slip through our fingers. No doubt his human rights have been infringed and he will be fully represented under legal aid to bring his case to the Supreme Court.

  • Madame Merle

As I understand it, the UKBA confiscated the students passports and told them to reapply for a visa prior to them going home for the hols.

This was a big mistake. In my opinion, the students should have been informed that they would need to regulate their visas after they had left the country.

Would it be so difficult to have visas issued at British consulates rather than trying to regulate student numbers once they are already at large in the UK?

    • Justathought

By “at large” do you possibly mean working illegally, paying no tax or national insurance yet entitled to use the services of the NHS without limit?

    • Madame Merle

My apologies to all for the duplication, i-pad misfunction.

  • D B

At least we’ve got rid of one.

    • Fergus Pickering

Why can’t we deport our home grown idle stupid layabouts and slags to Albania or somewhere?

      • http://www.facebook.com/lucifersibley Alex Sibley

I always thought that. we wouldn’t be in so much trouble if our home grown white lazy beer drinking asbo qualified got off their back sides. Could you imagine English people going to a country to get work?

        • Malfleur

“Could you imagine English people going to a country to get work?”

I don’t need to imagine. They do; and in very large numbers. That’s not the point though.

  • john

He should be deported as that’s the rule, however the British have become lazy and reliant on the welfare state we need to stop this taking our jobs rubbish as they do the jobs that the British don’t want to get out of bed for and they also show much better work ethics.

  • starfish

some of these so= called viral videos are grounds for deportation on their own

am I alone in finding them of little merit?

    • D B

      Not little merit. No merit.

    • Fergus Pickering

Yes you are alone. The reason they are viral is that so many people like them.

  • HooksLaw

Priorities? The Home Office have spent a fortune trying to get rid of Qatada. Your article is preposterous. This gentleman is the author, of his own downfall.

  • Archimedes

You seem to be suggesting that he should have been allowed to stay, or that rising to fame should have given him immunity from the law? If he didn’t have a valid visa, then deporting him was the correct move, otherwise what is the point of having visas at all?

If you want to argue that Britain should have looser, or different, immigration controls, then go ahead, but don’t try to manipulate people under the auspices of someone who came up with a catchy song being subjected to a vicious injustice. It was no longer lawful for him to be here: therefore, he was deported.

    • HooksLaw

Indeed – did this defunct college ever exist?

      • Eddie

Many such colleges didn’t. But the government (after 20 years and vast numbers of immigrants who then went on to get permission to stay passing through them) took action and these scams (usually run by Asians) have been closed.

Many other loopholes and scams exist though.

My business puts me in contact with international students and UK universities and tutors there. I know for a fact that UK universities recruit foreign students who are seen as cash cows – and do not check their qualifications (so many are fakes or gained through cheating or bribes) or langauge level.

Yet, the order from on high is: NEVER FAIL A FOREIGN STUDENT – and so these students, who can barely speak or write English, and often have a laughably low academic level too (almost as low as tghe average British inner city comprehensive school pupil) all pass, and usually with 2.1 degrees, and the master’;s and then PhDs. These are not scam private colleges in offices above take-aways – but UK universities, the former polys especially, and doing so brazenly!

The university’s external inspectors who come round once a year are supposed to guarantee quality – BUT they are only tutors and academics from other universities – and so will not make a fuss, because they themselves expect all their foreign stduents to be passed, even if their work is copied and pasted from the internet. I myself have informed some UK universities about foreign students who I know cheated and handed in others’ work to get their degrees; the universities ignore me and allow the students to graduate with honours.

I pity anyone teaching at a UK university who actually believes in education – the whole thing is a scam and a sham, and is utterly corrupt and soiled – which makes all staff working there dirty too.

The whole UK university system is a scam: that is the real scandal.
And very many thousands of university students stay on – and even if they don;t have permission they do it (esp the Asians and Africans) because they know eventually they’ll get an amnesty or leave to remain.

        • Wessex Man

Time to get a life Eddie.

          • Eddie

            Time to end yours then.
Thanks for that piece of pimply wisdom. Are you a 13 year old girl? Will you be saying ‘whatever’ and ‘not bothered’ and ‘talk to the hand’ soon? Or maybe you’re just posing as a teen girl because you’re a paedo. Who can say?
But you know what, many lives have been ended by illegal immigrants who have stabbed/shot people, infected them with HIV or run them over in cars.

            Twit.

            • Another Londoner

That’s just nasty, Ediie. Can we keep Mr Nazir please? You could go to Pakistan instead if you’re worried about the numbers.

              • Eddie

Oh do shut up, you tit. I responded to some blockhead who parroted some teen expression at me – my response was appropriate. In my experience, anyone who bleats ‘get a life’ is a moron and has thuse lost the argument by spouting their trite and failed attempt at wit (those who support them too).

I would actually recommend that you have a civil partnership ceremony with Wessex wally and have a honeymoon in Pakistan. You’;d save some dosh – you’d only really need to buy single tickets and you could share the casket that carried your severed heads on the way back.

                • Wessex Man

Oh poor Eddie, listen you halfwit, I’m probably a lot older than you and I’ve probably seen a lot worse that you ever will and I’ve had good black Englishmen alongside me when I did. I rather think it’s you that’s a pimply blockhead fully paid up member of the BNP or EDL.

When you’ve finished a********* Nick Griffin take a walk off the end of Southend Pier, tosspot.

                • Eddie

                  Get a life!

                  Natch!!!

Yep, you probably are the oldest wisest person on the world – according to your own estimation, that is. Nice to hear that you’ve had a few black men though. Is what they say true? – and, most ouchingly, did it hurt? And was it love?

So you and your lover support people breaking the law then? Me – I think people should obey the law and NOT be illegal immigrants. Though, if I ever choose to go to Asia or Africa as an illegal and demand a council house, free healthcare and schools and benefits, and a blind eye to be turned to be law-breaking, I am glad that I’ll be able to count on your whole-hearted support…

            • Brivenix

“But you know what, many lives have been ended by illegal immigrants who have stabbed/shot people, infected them with HIV or run them over in cars”. So many arguments bubbling… But I’m gonna leave ya with your ignorance

              • Eddie

Which proves your ignorance, of course.
15% of those in prison are foreign nationals; a huge number are black or Asian.
Plenty of examples of white girls getting HIV from African men (some African countries have 25% HIV and so African immigrants here will be the same).
Plenty of examples fo people killed by cars driven by illegal immigrants.
Plenty of examples of the criminality of many immigrants – and these immigrants often EXPLOIT vulnerable immigrants too, selling them like slaves.
You think you are libel and tolerant, but you are not; you are tolerating the intolerable in the name of your fixation with supporting anyone with a black or brown skin automatically – in a way you wouldn’t automatically support someone with a white skin. Ergo, you are a racist. Fuck off. I hate racists.

                • Brivenix

Slow down Jimbo. You said a lot of stuff about me, when, in fact, you do not know a single thing.

But, ok, let’s see the numbers. So, 15% of all UK prisoners are foreing, and you say “a huge number are black or Asian” (by the way, I do not know why did you mention that a huge – without a number – are either black or Asian. The point here is if the person is FOREIGN, if he/she is black, white, red or bald doens’t matter). So… The problem here is what? The foreign, the black, the asian or the yankees? What about the black britishs? And the white foreigns that go to jail, are them ok?

Afterwards, you wrote “plenty and plenty and plenty”. Can we have some numbers please? I can say that in X country “hundreds of people with a shot last year”, but this could be more or less relevant according to that country size (to Belgium would be disturbing while to US, even tough is bad, would not be the same. So how many cars accident, people killed and british girls (not just the white ones, as u said) were contamined by HIV from a illegal immigrant? But if I keep on saying “a lot of times” and “I know a friend that got a sister who was rapped by an Indian” the discussion just doesn’t go ahead.

Also, u used the word racism. English is not my native language, but I guess you wanted to say discrimination, prejudice or something similar, as we’ve got only one race… homo sapiens.

The thing is: we all know that you need a system to avoid hundreds of thousands of millions of people going to your secret heaven, but, sometimes, you can be more flexible, looking the whole picture, not just about “the visa and etc.” Anyway, is your country. And your country is composed by your people, people like you. So do what you want, in your country.

Just to let you know. I’m brazilian, I’m brown, I lived in UK during one year just to learn english (with all the visa and sily stuff that u guys demand from a common brazilian), and didn’t make any of these damages that you mentioned above. By the way, I was robbered in UK for the firs time in my life, (I slept in the bust and someone took my ipod touch from my pocket) and, even tough I liked the place and the people, I don’t want to live there again.

                • Brivenix

I didn’t correct it, before you start pointing out my grammar and bla bla bla

                • Eddie

In Brazil – an extremely racist and violent country which sees blacks in favellas living in hell whilst paleer skinned people (like you) make money off them so they can come and study English in the UK and live in nice areas in Brazal – you have a completely different situation. YOur country has been unsuccessfully multi-racial for hundreds of years – with the native population almost destroyed by incoming Europeans and their black slaves.

In the UK, the massive number of Africans and Asians have come in tghe last 20 years. This is destorying OUR native culture and making the lives of native Europeans difficult.

Of course you haven’t been robbed in Brazil, Britvic – you never go to the slum areas where the blacks live!

And I didn’t ‘say a lot of stuff about’ you at all – other than to call you ignorant. I merely gave statistics about crime – 15% in jail here are foreign nationals; I think 30-40% are black (yep, the kids of immigrants) and 15% south Asian (immigrants of 2nd generation). Whites are a minority in UK prisons.

It is not racist to state a fact.

It is not racist and evil either to state that I would like fewer immigrants, for illegals to be deported, and for mass immigration to stop eating away at my native culture like a disease that is making this country sick and its people angry.

We are the most densely population country in Europe. We are not Brazil or Canada or Australia.

I have no problem with visitors like you who come here to study and of cours I did NOT state that ALL those who come here commit crime! YOu are reading what you WANT to read in my post – not what I wrote.

But sorry, I won;t take any lectures from a Brazilian about racism or how to manage it, thank you. Perhaps you should watch City of God and walk through one of your slum ares sometime – you seem to know more about London than your own country.

                • Brivenix

Wait a second, on the other comment u said “You think you are libel and tolerant, but you are not; you are tolerating the intolerable in the name of your fixation with supporting anyone with a black or brown skin automatically – in a way you wouldn’t automatically support someone with a white skin. Ergo, you are a racist. Fuck off. I hate racists.”. To me, this comprises a lot of stuff about someone, evenmore when u consider that u know me from “a bunch of paragraphs”. By the way, I’m NOT supporting any blacks or browns here, I’m discussing the consequences of FOREIGN (all foreign people) that comes to UK. When I lived in London I saw a lot of people from other countries getting awful jobs that, I guess, real londoners would not assume. Jobs as waiter and porter. I Saw so many africans, italians, brazilians, colombians, spanishes, russians and etc. taking these jobs, and If u consider, proportionally, that europeans (even the ones from the countries that are crashing) can transit easily in the EU members, u should start to attack spanish, portuguese, greece and italian people too (to no say the romans and ones from Latvia, cause they were MANY). I said proportionally because, let’s wonder, 20 africans trying to get into England are equivalent to one poor italian who flies from Genova to London to get a job, cause he doesn’t have to prove anything and he’s gonna take off a job that would belong to a british.

Goint back to the point, u wrote ” I think 30-40% are black (yep, the kids of immigrants) and 15% south Asian (immigrants of 2nd generation). Whites are a minority in UK prisons”. I “think”? This is not a valid source. I think about so many stuff, concerning all sorts of subjects, but throwing thoughts and phrases away won’t make it real. I want numbers, and real numbers. So we can go ahead.

Also, u said that “this illegal immigrants are killing your native culture”. Well, US has been doing this far more effective than immigrants, and it started 50 years ago, not 20. MacDonalds, Levis, Apple and a myriad of other companies are doing quite well to impose their culture and products into other countries, killing their habits and harming their industries. By the way, u guys had a “problem” with Starbucks recently, no?

And then u told me to watch “City of God”. Come on, was that a joke?! Are u telling me to see an international blockbuster movie to understand a reality which I’m inserted?! AGAIN, u really don’t have ideia with who u r talking to. My family is a regular mid class, and I transit everywhere in the city I live. There are nice and there are really bad places, as we all know. But don’t try to generalize the situation with a movie that explains how the crime got endemic in one city, in one state in a huge country as Brazil. Go read Gilberto Freyre, Roberto da Matta and others, so u can start to understand the whole situation.

You are in your rights when u say that u don’t want so many immigrantes in your country, furthermore those who sneak into it illegally. What I’m saying is that u should ponder more before poiting the finger to a foreign and blaming him for some problems that Europe’s struggling against nowadays, as unemployment and loss of identity.

And this is what I said about the term “racism”:

                  http://www.libertyunbound.com/node/775

It is not scientifically accepted. You should either name it prejudice, discrimination or anything else you want.

Lastly, I was roberred around Leicester Square, around 11pm, not in the bloody peripherical areas. I could not see if was an immigrant, but, in your words, “it must be”.

                  Regards

Dude, don’t waste your time/ energy on Eddie. He is quite un-representative of the British. I hope you are enjoying your time here as a student. The vast majority of the country are quite happy that you are here.

                • Eddie

No – I am VERY representative of the British.
I am the son of an immgrant who worked damn hard to make life in this great country better for its inhabitants – NOT to make it the spunk bucket of the world.
Suck your samosa, hypocrite bien pensant libtard turd spurtle.
BTW – I hope to emigrate to Asia – mayeb Pakistan or India – in the next 2 years. Please give advice and let me know how MY diversity and race and religion and culture will be celebrated. I want a council house, free health and education, and everyone to accept me as a national who is as Pakistani or Indian as they are.
I am SURE all those little Asians (y’know the ones who rioted and killed 1,000,000 in 1948) have changed by now and have become fully little diversity bunnies…

                • George_Arseborne

Oh stupid Eddie. If 15% are blacks and Asian, then what constitute the huge majority 85%? You are just excited and getting foolish the more you argue. If the reverse was true, l could reason with you. So just shut your keyboard and let reasonable people debate.

                • Eddie

                  You can’t read, you ARSE!

I states that 15% were FOREIGN NATIONALS.

I then stated that 30-40% of prisoners were black and 15% Muslim.

                  Now fuck off, retard.
Good luck with your English GCSE though – if you work hard, you may well be able to readie zee In-gwish one day eh?

                • George_Arseborne

George – you simply cannot read English properly, can you, boy?
I stated 15% in prisons were foreign nationals.
Then I said that 30-40% of ALL prisoners were black and 15% Muslim.

          “my business”

          Lol. His “business”.

He’s an unemployed TEFL teacher, who was sacked from his day job for doing an Alfred Hitchcock.

          • Eddie

Oh fuck off Sarah Psycho – I might have known you’d have popped up here to spout your dribbly fanny fart lies all over the place. Well, I suppose it keeps you off the streets.
For the umpteenth time, bint: you know NOTHING about me – and the delusion you have that you do is the same mental illness that causes you to stalk posters like me and accuse anyone you disagree with (ie anyone with sane views) of being a paedo and a rapist.
I used to be a teacher/lecturer (why my views on education are intelligent – in stark contrast to yours). I have never been sacked from a job – but I know you don’t have one and just volunteer for the same mental health women’s charity that helped you when you went loopyloo.
Me – I now run a Limited company and am a professional writer. I could return to teaching at any time too. Hardly unrealistic claim is it? I am not claiming to be an astronaut or something. Only a loonie would announce (without evidence) that I was somehoe lying (why would I? My post proves my expertise on this matter).
But then, in Sarak the Psyho’s eyes, all men are rapists, perverts and paedos and all women fluffy lickle bunnies who never do anything wrong.
Shall we ask the fish man for his views on feminism and female empowerment eh? Just look for something that looks like a walking blanket – it’s bound to be one of his wives in her burka.
But then, I am sure you and he do have one thing in common: you both stink to high heaven of fish. Take a shower together eh? It’s not possible that he will rape you because there will be no-one else there – and rape in Islam only exists if one has 4 witnessed.
            Alfred Hitchcock?
Yes, I saw that lie-drenched feminist film yesterday too – where a decent man was portrayed as a leery perv and sex pest who went in to the film industry solely to force himself on pretty blonde bints.
No surprise really: the film was written by a feminist, produced by one and was shown on a channeld whose controller is one and who earns a quarter of a milliion a year.
But they wouldn’t have shown that if Hitchcock were alive. Why? Because it was a tangled web of lies and assumptions – and Hitch would have won. I suppose we can expect to see more dramas slandering and libelling dead men on the BBC now it’s job is to portray men as monsters, rapists, perverts and paedos.
Good job I don’t pay my licence fee then iniit!

            • Wessex Man

You show us just what your world is you fumbling stumbling halfwitted racist, you wouldn’t have got through the front doors of any school in the western world, rub your own business? you couldn’t run a fish stall, unlike the gentleman in question. Crawl back under your stone.

              • Eddie

Wessex Wank – I have never RUBBED a business in my life, twerp tits!
I have run a business well for several years and was a freelancer before that. You see, I WORK for a living – like the Pakistani illegal immigrants you gush over – except my job involves more then flogging putrid pollocks to non-Londoners who don’t know the difference or who’ll spice it and sell it to thick wankers like you in Islington.
Racist? Or should that be WAYYYYY-CISSSSTTTTTT!
Well y’know, this sone of an immigrant will take no lecture from you and your very dull-witted brain, which seems to compute the bizarre conclusion that ‘ANYONE WHO OPPOSES ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND WANTS ILLEGALS DEPORTED IS A RACIST’.
I fear some sillies didn’t get a dictionary for Christmas, did they? Probablyy because they were too busy wanking themselves silly with their own spurious sloppy-poppy theories of how wondrous immigration to the UK always is because it creates the utopia of diverse and vibrant squidgy-huggy happitude in which everyone is always happy and smiling in a perfect multiculti world (as taught on GCSE courses by halfwitted teacher twerps) to learn what RACISM actually means.
Unfortunately, unlike you, Wessex Wank, I am not young enough to know everything.
So instead I just have to rely on my superb classical British education, years of experience in the education system (state and private, British and overseas), plus further years as a professional writer and businessman, in order to come to my own opinions on immigration, social cohesion, higher education policies towards international students, the legal system etc.

fish man didn’t own the stall, he was just working cash in hand there. i used to hear him singing, there’s the best set of fabric stalls in London right next to that fish shop, he was just a worker there. oh, i just wonder whether he was paying any tax. he was illegal so he shouldn’t have been working at all anyway.

                • sarahsmith232

in fact, i should have added another comment. the first time i went to Upton Park i just couldn’t believe my eyes, litterally nothing at all, zero, not a one single non-white there. solely Asains and Africans. i hadn’t been in London long then, i found it shocking and beyond belief because to anyone that doesn’t know the area it is hardly a small little pplace, enormous and heaving high street. the high street is prob’ over a mile long. you can walk the lengh and bredth of it and you won’t see a white person anywhere. ‘course, 3yrs later and i’ve seen this all over London now, i’ve stopped reacting, stopped finding it shocking. area after area after of nothing but Africans and Asains on the street with not a single non-white for as far as the eye can see.
Labour should be prosecuted for this.

                • Eddie

But the Tories are just as bad. Massive immigration under Thatcher and Major. And now under Cameroon (which the cities of England resemble more every year).

Naked racism Sarah Smith, you are now joining Eddie/ Wilhelm.

                • EJ

                  She’s absolutely right.

                • Eddie

                  You are the racist, Rahul.

Tell me, can a white person EVER be considered Indian, or Pakistani, or Chinese, or Nigerian – even if they are born in those countries – even if their white parents were?

The whole WORLD outside Europe and the US is racist as fuck. Why don’t you criticise them then?

Oh yes, I forgot – you are a big fucking racist whp only calls white people racist!

Not brown or black skinned persons – who in the UK are the biggest bigots ever anyway, but who in Africa and Asia simply do would not accept any white person could possibly be Indian, Chinese or African.

Why exclude the whites? Ah yes, WAYYYYCISSSMMMMM!

                  Brilliant!

(PS do you agree with the tolernace shown by our pc British authorities – though most London councils are run by leftie ethnics it seems, which is perhaps why they’re about as corrupt as a Calcutta whore – who turn a blind to adverts that state ASIANS ONLY in flat or job adverts?)

Eddie, a little piece of constructive advice, don’t feed the trolls, Sarah and Kamath.

Do you have visions of a naked Sarah Smith, Rahul, when *you* declare her a naked racist? Just where are you coming from Rahul Kamath, with your very disturbing postings about your mental images of women?

                • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Not a great comprehender of idiom are you? Either that or an unfunny humorist. I’ll give you credit and go with the latter.

                • HenryWood

Nor a great tolerator of idiots, either, Rahul.
I’ll give you as much credit as I can possibly afford – and the answer is, you are *still* an idiot. HTH.

                  …. yawn

                • Eddie

The question is: WHY don’t people in this country – ie the police, councils, schools, hospitals, benefit offices – CHECK people’s IDs and report them as illegal immigrants if they are?
We MUST get a grip – and start deporting these people. We must also make sure pictures of this get shown on TV all over the world.
SAdly, because of pro-immigration propaganda distributed via amongst others the BBC, the British council, the education system etc, we have promoted to the world the idea that we want more and more immigrants to come to the UK in order that we can celebrate fucking diversity and vibrant multi-cultiness even more.
Then we let one or two in. They phone their mates and familes and say: HEY COME TO UK, EVERYONE HERE IS FUCKING IDIOT WALLAH, THEY GIVES YOU BENEFITS AND HOUSES AND DON’t MIND IF YOU WORKS ILLEGAL, AND YOU GTE NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER IF YOU ASK, NO PROBLEM, THEN AFTER YEARS YOU HAVE KIDS AND COUNCIL HOUSE AND CAN STAY FOREVER! WITH FREE HEALTHA ND SCHOOLS AND NO NEED TO RESPECT THEIR VALUES AND TRADITIONS AT ALL! THE FUCKING WHITIE IDIOTS! SO MY 200 COUSINS, COME HERE TO UK!’
And you know what, they fucking well do – they come through Spain, Greece, France, all to get to the Shangri-la of the UK where – because of our traitor governments policies and pro-multiculti-diversity propaganda, every fucker in Asia or Africa wants to come here!

                • Wessex Man

and then they meet a moronic piece of pond life like you, such a fathead that you don’t realise you are advocating a police state. You would be one of the first rounded up for re-education and boy do you need it!

                • Eddie

                  No you libtard turd spurtle!

What I am advocating is having the same attitude to immigration that they have in most countries of the world – and even places like France.

Look up ‘police state’ in a real book (no no not your ‘dummies guide to being a leftwing hypcrite cock-cuddling wanker’ but a REAL book with long words and no pictures).

Pond life? You racist! I’d rather talk to a waterboatman or a lump of frogspawn than you, spanner chops! I’d bet anything that they’d make more sense too!

We already have official reeducation along Nazi/commie lines in the UK: it’s called diversity training PLUS the politically correct propaganda that is embedded into the entire fucking school curriculum, you totalitarianist crypto-facist fugpuggling poltroon!
I bet you’re a big fan of Chavez and Castro eh?

                • Wessex Man

Right you stupid wally, time has come to tell you that I just as much as most against full unrestricted immigration that John Major’s Government started because they couldn’t manage a piss up in a Brewery, carefully manipulated by Blair and Brown, who thought that would give them Labour majorities for years to come and now Cameron just doesn’t care. I dread more Eastern European immigration that we won’t be able to stop next year because of the EU regulations.

I however, am against full unrestricted immigration because our Schools, Hospitals, Welfare System and just about everything else can’t support the current population, yet alone more. That’s the only reason.

You however don’t want more immigration because you are a moronic right wing racist halfwit. I can only hope you get treatment before you find a firearm and manage to point it at anyone other than yourself!

                • Eddie

OK, cunt-chops, calm down! Button yourself into your onesie, rub your special place and take a deep breath of your own farts. Now listen:

Nowhere have I stated that I am against ANY and ALL immigration.

I have states that we have had far too much, that we needed guest workers not immigrants, that immigration from Asia and Africa is undesirable because of social implications, that immgration from eastern europe has been so massive to have negative effects (even though own own young people are so damn lazy and have such a bad attitude that they have turned down jobs these people do).

But nowhere have I supported a blanket ban on all immigration.

I do fully support an aggressive drive to deport illegal immigrants – something you and others who want more and more immigration in order to destroy this country and get a Labour government because of ethnic voters. I also want to stop the BBC, the British council and others – incl our dumb governments – sending the message aorund the world that we worship diversity, that multiculturalism is our new religion, that we want whites to be a minority in the UK and that we will hand out free houses, school places, benefits and jobs to any waif and stray that comes here: can’t you see,. TWERP, that this is DESTROYING this country?
And why are you wittering on about firearms? I’d have to find one of them niggaz with attitude and buy a gun off him if I wanted one: whites don’t carry guns in the UK – only vibrant and diverse types.

                • Wessex Man

There goes your street cred you waster, can’t even get hold of a gun what kind of waste of space are you? you really hate black people don’t you? I wonder if you are one of the racists who cheer black British Footballers Rugby Players or Olympians then when you are pissed start ranting about “Sending them home” even though their families have lived in this country for three or four generations, you little old racist BNP peeing you!

                • HenryWood

Ooooooh! BNP! I never heard *that* before!

                • Eddie

If the immigrants were white supremicist nazis from Russia, would you be so supportive eh?

Or perhaps you are just suffering from the dreadful disease that afflicts most mediocrities who end up working for the state in one way or other: ethnophilia.

My stance is opposed to both left and right: I want strict limits on immgration which the rightwing capitalist pigs do not want because they see immigrants as a cheap source of labour and a supply of workers better than the lazy bad attitude wasters our shitty school system churns out; lefties want more mass immigration (esp of brown and black people) because of political corruption and an attmept to rig ballots (most Africans and Asians vote Labour) – also, some women do so like a bit of big black comfort… and yes, that IS a factor (I worked in colleged full of such women – thank Crikey I left those citadels of politically correct failure and did my own thing!)

I have only been to one football match in my life in the UK – 1988, Crystal Palance and a blue team (Plymouth? Portsmouth? Potato? No idea). The devotion of Rod and others to the ‘bollocks-ful game’ baffles me.

This son of an immigrant will take no lectures on race or immigration from a lickspittle like you. I am a victim of your racism – and you are the racist.

And I don’t want toi send anyone ‘home’ – though I wouldn’t argue if someone chose to send you to the head hospital, ducky!

                • OWStirling

Christ, you’re boring. You seem to think you’re some kind of national sage because you’ve taught in a couple of schools and you are a ‘writer’.

Have you written anything I might have read? No, have you bollocks. Will you even post a link to a blog, on here? You haven’t got the balls. You know doing that would mean putting your money where your foul, uncultured gob is.

As for being a ‘businessman’, that may impress your delivery driver pals in the boozer but it carries no weight here. You’ve just used a little poetic licence on the old CV and tried to take the Spectator’s readers for mugs.

I can see from what you’ve offered up here you fancy yourself as a cut above, but anyone who reads regularly can see in an instant you have no creative flair for writing, so I’d advise you to stop bragging about something you’re not.

Helpful info Sarah. We now have some understanding of his bitterrness and hatred. Feel a bit sorry for him actually.

            • Junis

I am a briton of Pakistani descent and agree with you. How many Australians, New Zealanders, South Africans, Americans and Canadians are the descendants of Britons looking for a better life? Much more than britons of Pakistani descent. ‘White’ Britons are racist hypocrites who have delivered much more harm to the world than non-white immigrants to Britain. Australia and the U.S. have more ‘white’ people living in them than non-whites. Why?

              • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

One thing worth saying: the views of the idiots on this forum Re hardly representative of the general population of either the UK or the US. Every society has its nutters.

                • Junis

Do you really think that the majority of the views on this forum do not represent the general population? I think it does. For instance, the comment by user ‘Archimedes’ has been ranked the highest and is totally hostile towards non-white immigration.

                • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Ratings are done by those who read and comment on these articles. So they don’t give you any info that you don’t find in the comments themselves.

My own personal experience of the UK (admittedly heavily London centric) is that while people have this generalised fear/ dislike of immigration, it disappears at the street level, in shops/ pubs/ bus-stops etc. Some of the macro data such as on inter-marriage is very optimistic. Racism itself is overwhelmingly viewed as a bad thing even by those who may be racists themselves. This is all good stuff.

                • Junis

You are saying that non-racists do not read this article by the Spectator?

                • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

No of course not. Just that the majority of commentators / raters are nut jobs. One thing to note: this is not the mainstream Spectator. It’s the blogs.

                • Eddie

“Some of the macro data such as on inter-marriage is very optimistic.”

HILARIOUS – show me how many Pakistanis and Indians have ever married black men then!

One is reminded of Shazia Mirza – someone who GETS it:

“My dad said if I went out with a black man, he’d burn me. Which would be good, because then I’d be black too.”
The biggest bigots, racists, sexists, homophobes I have EVER met have mostly been Asian or black.
                  Then you dribble this nonsense:

“Racism itself is overwhelmingly viewed as a bad thing even by those who may be racists themselves.”

Oh but you see racism as expressed by Asians or Africans as ‘a good thing’ – a defence of cultural hertitage, non?

                  Racist twat.

                • sarahsmith232

you v. obviously know didely-squat about the English. the ‘i think it does’ part gives you away. then you give the ratings for the Archimedes as evidence. where’s your real life experience? you don’t have any, do you? your above comment makes that v. obvious.
you’re just going off what your being fed via the media. but the tv media is left dominated and the print media is either extrememly left or right, none represents the centre, that’s too mundane, it doesn’t sell.
you’ve been brainwashed to believe taht the English that want to see less immigration fit into a BBC constructed stereo-type. they’ve been at this brainwashing for decades, it’s depressing to see how well it’s worked.
listen to yourself talk about the English, you detest us, have nothing but absolute contempt and you haven’t ever even known any. this is stereotypically off-spring of Pakistani immigrants. living in seperate communities and filling in the blanks about the English via the BBC. most Pakistani’s are extremely ignorant and arrogant about the English. on the rarre occasions that you come in contact you make sure that your hatred and contempt is known. i’ve been around this a million times for decades. i don’t doubt you recongnise the Pakistani type.
so then, knowing how many Pakistaini’s have been allowed to dominate our English cities how can then say we don’t have a point when we object to millions more coming in?
you can’t. it would be a ridiculous position, if you all detest us, hate our liberal freedoms and have nothing but contempt for us, which is the case, then it isn’t an e.g of racism to say that we don’t want any more of you coming in. especially after the largest wave of immigration in this nations entire history, the majority coming in from parts of the world like Pakistan and Somalia.
you don’t get on the one hand to write about you hatred of the English, even though you’ve inadvertently revealed that you’ve never had any real contact with any, an absolute dead typical Pakistani attitude, then get to say that the reason why don’t want any more of you is because we’re all racist crap. no dear, it’s because of your ignorance and hatred. you’re the problem, your arrogance, your ignorance, your contempt, in a nutshell – YOUR RACISM.
if you beleive racism is such a detestable evil then you need to look to yourself for creating it.

                • ShoeOnHead

if all you’re capable of contributing are your idiotic, teenage insults you’re not worth reading. there’s no point in you commenting, your comments are nothing, the add nothing, they amount to nothing, they’re empty and irrelevant.
what i wrote you might not agree with but it’s a fair comment. the Pakistanit community are not super human angels. they have their flaws. i would say hatred based on media generated stereo-types of the white working-class are a legitimate complaint.
they don’t have any idea that their hatred and ignorance is nothing more than racism, pure and simple. they hate white English. they think there’s nothing wrong with hating white English. they don’t think that’s it’s dumb, led by the nose ignorance, they think it’s astute observation. when you have the whole of the Oxbridge educated Labour/BBC/Guardian establishment leaping to smear any English person daring to not toe the PC line with the racsim accusation you can hardly expect any more from them. they don’t bother questioning any of their assumptions, they’re too busy enjoying the sense of superiority the Left-wing elites have planted in their heads.
now you dear, whatever your name is, shoe or whatever, do try and keep up, people are actually posting some observed comments, not just your ‘your so rubbish, your so racist, your going to get told off by my mother who will then hit’ absolute nothing comment

Yep – and we have loads more thanks to mass immigration – and of course because of the Pakistani habit of ‘marrying’ (AKA ‘raping’) first cousins, which has created swarms of pinheaded Pakis that the NHS and education systems have to care for.

Maybe we should be like Pakistanis, and bash their brains out on rocks eh?

Even if you disagree with them, you should try and tolerate – and indeed celebrate – their diversity, and the diversity of all posters’ opinions and ideas.
Or do you only ‘celebrate diversity’ when it involves skin colour?

Tell me: how many non-brown natives in Pakistan are there again?

Yet according to your Pakistani maths, I am a racist, but all Asians and black Africans are not.
Tell me, Mohammed, where did you buy your maths degree?

              • mr. blobby

Usual racist crap from a Pakistani. Yawn. If you don’t like us britons, why not p*ss of back to the retarded Islamic dump your ancestors came from? You’ll like it there – no white people to spoil the view.

              • Eddie

“‘White’ Britons are racist hypocrites who have delivered much more harm to the world than non-white immigrants to Britain.”

What a great big fat PAKI LIE!

Before the Brits went to Africa and Asia, you were in the stone age. And guess what, you still are in your little ganchud heads.

Ever been to Bradford or an Asian area of London? Stinking filthy crappy places – that is imported directly from the backwarsd shithole called Pakistan.

I’ll be laughing my head off (nope not your fave Paki hobby of decapitating whities and Jews) when Indian finally nukes you! No doubt you ungrateful bullshitting bastard Pakis would still blame the white British for that too!
I am of course using the term PAKI in the Indian sense, which is non-racist…

                • ShoeOnHead

woah. i thought i’d drop in with some intelligent, spirited discourse.
and all i got here was eddie’s impotent, self righteous rage. you are a national embarrassment. lets call a spade a spade shall we.

                • Eddie

Nope, PAKI in the INDIAN sense – which you being an ignoramus twat don’t understand.

                  Moron.
Yes, your mum probably could chin my mum – whores usually are quite muscly, innit, syphillis boy?

                  Go fuck a duck, dumbo.

                • ShoeOnHead

                  absolutely. this.

                  that’s ace. keep on, eddie.

i stopped goading mentally ill racists like you on the internet in 1998. but you are special.

            • Eddie

Errr, no it’s not, moron, it is lie after lie after lie.

I run a successful business. I am not unemployed. I am not a TEFL teacher. And I have never been sacked from any job, even the ones I hated where I was surrounded by pc-obsessed diversity-worshipping mediocrities and hypocrites like you.

But I was almost deported once, when I worked in a central European country. Yep, you see, OTHER countries deport people who may well be illegal (even if your employer is at fault).

If I went to India (which is a racist country that only gives white people 6 months on a visa and doesn’t allow any whitie to buy property), then do you seriously think with invalid papers I could set up a stall and take the jobs opf natives?

Tell us, hypocrite, how brown-faced people in Asia would react is whole areas of their cities were taken over by white people or black Africans?

Asians calling whites racist? HO HO HO! Best fucking joke this Crimbo!
ALL ASIANS AND BLACKS ARE RACIST. Including you, ganchud.

          • Davidh

Sarah – bad form to get personal, even if you know the guy is an idiot. Employed or not, TEFL or any other kind of teacher, a person is entitled to their opinions and should be engaged on those opinions.

And the prick is right about the quality of education. I interviewed a job applicant a few weeks ago with a master’s degree she took as a foreign student at a good English university, not some hole-in-the-wall school. She’d got the master’s but her English conversation skills were very basic and she proudly showed me an essay she’d written as part of the course that was simply unreadable. The grammar just did not make sense and there was no fathomable meaning to be found at all. Who accepted this girl on a master’s degree course to be taken in English? Who tutored her and graded her and didn’t even tell her that her work was meaningless? Does anybody examine or moderate these courses?

            • Eddie

Yes, all courses are moderated by people who come in – who are also tutors from other universities who are playing the same game themselves. You scratch my back…
PS don’t worry about Sarah the Psycho – she stalks me around these boards and slanders/libels me in the worst way possible (isn’t it just vile if a woman falsely accuses a man of being a rapist and paedophile? It enters a surreeal level of absurdity on blogs like this where no-one here knows anything about anyone else, except what is written by them).

          • jasonjapanwhite

That’s a Brit for you: Make the most outrageous, borderline libelous assertions on literally zero evidence. Some sort of inverted inferiority complex in play here I suspect. And have you noticed how Brits do so hate being upstaged? “What I have is great, what you have is rubbish.”

            • Karla

And you are a Japanese ex-student after a British passport!

            • Eddie

Ha ha ha! Good one! Would the Brits be like that then in comparison to the Japanese (or Chinese or any Asians) all of whom are racist, demand racial purity in their homelands, and who see as a prerequisite fo being considered Japanese (or Chinese or Asian) a face which LOOKS Japanese or generally slitty eyed and non-white/non-black.

It is not the Brits who have any inferiority complex just because they want to limit immigration and stop THEIR homeland becoming colonised by Africans and Asians.

You actually seem to be describing the mentality of the Nips or Chinks mate. Not the ghosts or long noses!

            • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

It’s only a small sub-section of Brits, the inward looking moaney ones, who can only survive their lot by blaming someone else for it. Possibly a legacy of the class system?

              • Eddie

Oh HILARIOUS! Someone with Indian heritage dissing the British class system – and not the vile caste system in India where people like Randy Rahul consider all lower caste Indians as a lower species! Your Indian caste and class system is something that outshines our insignificant class system matey. Well done. Indians do nothing else better than us, for sure (we even make better curries because they were invented here!)
                You are SO funny!
Sing that fish sone again – I dare yer!

              • fitz fitzgerald
              • Eddie

Still laughing about an Indian calling Brits ‘inward-looking’.

What – as opposed to Pakistanis and Hindustanis who never look further than their 12 year old first cousin (AKA their spunk bucket)?
As a VERY well-travelled man I can tell you that5 no matter where you go in the world you will always find 2 types of people: Brits and Germans.
British people are the most outward looking in Europe, you tosspottery prat – perhaps that is why we have been taken advantage of by the likes of you and your 2000 cousins?

                • ShoeOnHead

travelled? middle-bohemian? you’re not even minor-gentry, eddie? i bet you wait with epic calm the death of elderly relatives.

    • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

We need much looser controls. This man took no money from the state and was prolly about to make some (and pay tax on it) before being deported. No his fame shouldn’t give him immunity from the law, but when the laws an ass ….

      • Archimedes

He broke the law when he decided to stay here after his visa became invalid. Is that the message that should be sent out – it’s OK to break the law, as long as you make enough money?

In this case, the law was spot on. If he wanted to stay here, then he should have gone through the proper channels. What you seem to be arguing for is the disregard of the law in light of financial benefits, which in any other situation would be called corruption.

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

I think you need to spend some time with your dictionary.

          • Archimedes

I don’t think I do, old boy. I do, however, think that you should avoid the trap of thinking that in order to be pro-immigration, you have to be in favour of all immigration. This is the sort of logic that clouds reason, and ever mystifies a solution.

When such a large portion of the population believes that current immigration levels are a problem, regardless of how poorly they express their concern, it would be foolish to imagine that there is no validity, or cause, for their complaints. Presumably the best course of action is to understand the reason for those concerns, and then, if we can fix it, perhaps we will have a better platform for immigration.

To have treated this chap in any other way would have been to abandon the very principles which, presumably, makes Britain an attractive place to come to in the first instance.

            • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

I do think concerns need to be evaluated and rectified if supported by data or exposed as prejudices if that were to be the case. This isn’t happening in any objective manner.

Re: this particular chap, yes he should probably be deported and re-admitted on a work visa.

I think the point of Andrew Neil and others is that this chap being deported vs. Abu etc. being ensconced in a council paid house in N London shows how the principles behind our immigration system lead to socially destructive consequences.

My dictionary craic was referring to your generous use of the word ‘corruption’.

              • http://sadbutmadlad.com/ SadButMadLad

You’ve got it. Yes, he should be deported. The law is the law. But a just system will check that he is not abusing his immigration and is actually working, and if so it should advise and help him to get a work visa. Now it shouldn’t give it to him willy-nilly, but neither should it reject him on a technicality. An unjust blind bureaucratic system would deport him and reject any application for a work visa because he was an illegal immigrant prior.

              • Daniel Maris

If you think craic means crack, you need to consult your dictionary. Have you got some voice recognition system you’re using?

          • Dogsnob

Looking in mine for ‘prolly’. It’s difficult.

        • Fergus Pickering

Well of course it is OK to break the law so long as you make enough money. Haven’t you noticed. The law is for the rich and powerful. Lawyers are the lickspittles of the state. Don’t you know this. William Godwin told you more than two hundred years ago. Weren’t you listening? Hilaire Belloc wrote a poem one hundred years ago to bring this to your attention. It is called ‘The Justice of the Peace’.Look it up.

          • Baron

good point, Fergus, if the guy was a Russian mafioso with plenty of dosh there would be a way for him to remain here.

          • therealguyfaux

Hitler’s Law: Sooner or later, the longer a political discussion continues, someone will invoke Godwin.

              • Eddie

                Precisely!

        • dalai guevara

I am amazed to see you get dragged into this neverending discussion about upholding the law when it comes to immigration .

Surely, anyone in business will realise that the influx some worry about (I am not saying you are) has long been halted. The opposite is in fact true: due to lack of opportunity, many South Africans, Uruguayians, Brazilians, Poles et al I know have long left the country. I give you this, what we are left with are those who have nowhere to go.

        • Peter

WOW Human beings traditionally had been travelling ,Passport
Visas started 100 years ago…What you declare of British people
Who entered India as Traders and toppled the Mughals to become Rulers of India,,,That was absolutely LEGAL hahahah Now you blame Immigrants coming to UK for the selfishness effects of British Society.
All the problems, recession.unemployment is due to poor immigrants hahahha

      • Border Boy

Not sure why we need much looser immigration controls. All the polling evidence suggests that a large majority of the electorate would prefer tighter, more effective controls, which prevent people from just settling here because they get past border control, by using deception – saying they intend a visit or wish to study when their true purpose is to stay and work without permission.

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

I think the public’s views on this topic need to be strongly challenged both with a argument around economics and an argument around values and cohesion. This has not really been done; the floor has been ceded both on the right and the left to the opposing camp.

Saying the govt. should do or not do something just because of polling evidence is a terrible basis for policy ref: Tony Blair who many commentators here love to hate.

          • Border Boy

So not so keen on the democratic element? I suppose the alternative is to let the non elected or dictatorial tell everybody what they should think and get? Clearly appealing as an idea. Bound to catch on.

          • Eddie

How would Indians or Pakistanis react is a large number of white a black people who neither shared their history or culture or race or religion (and had no respect for any of these) arrived in India or Pakistan? I bet you a chapati that the south Asian police would not turn a blind eye and neither would the locals – who are really rather well known for their racism and bigotry against those who are not like them.

There is NO net benefit from immigration: it is a short term fix and is a betrayal of this country’s future by all politicians for short term electoral gain.

The question we should be asking is why our failed school system churns out unemployable bruvvas wiv a bad attitude who are as lazy as they are illiterate, who make up the large numbers of London unemployed, when any immigrant who is vertical (legal or not) can come here and walk into a job!

We MUST remove illegals and stop most immigration – and stop advertising to the world that we worship diversity and want the whole world’s immigrants to come here (at present many immigrants come through Greece, Italy, Spain, France just to get to ‘Ukay’ where the people are stupid and the money is free and no-one deports you, even if you’re a criminal!)

We don’t need debate; we need deportations now – and to show those pictures around the world, ie we should be as strict as the Asians themselves. And we should protect our nation, culture and heritage like other nations too.

            • Malfleur

How would Indians or Pakistanis react is a large number of white … people who neither shared their history or culture or race or religion… arrived in India or Pakistan?

They declared independence and kicked them out in 1947.

              • Spondulicks

Nice one. Eddie, I’ve found your unhinged, racist fulminations highly entertaining, but it’s time for you to return to the ward. Please go quietly, or the big nurse (that’s him in the green uniform) will have to make you go.

            • Fergus Pickering

There is no net benefit from immigration, agreed. But there is plenty of benefit from some immigrants, from the clever well-educated people who will do the jobs we are now too stupid and illiterate to do ourselves, from the hard-working, conservative people who will do the jobs that entail getting out of bed in the morning to subsidise our native population of layabouts. What we do NOT need are Somali criminals, Romanian gypsies etc etc. One really ought to be selective about this. How many small shopkeepers are native Brit? I thought the one down my daughter’s street was, but no, he’s a Pole. It was his perfect English fooled me. That and his courtesy.

              • Eddie

Yes indeed. I was this morning reading an article about UK hotels where the writer was opining the fact that a joy of travelling to Spain, France, Italy is having Spanish, French, Italian staff and hosts in hotels. Here they are all Easand Central European (and very good at it they are too). But why the heck are there no BRITISH hotel workers or hardly any anyway?
I blame for this: the hotel industrym yes, but also our dreadful schools who don;t teach kids the basics of numeracy, literacy, politeness, the work ethic, parents who praise their mediocre lazy spawn and bring even the thickest up to think they are above hotel work, and then mass immigration policies.
But there is no excuse for this. There are lots of such jobs and they are almost all filled by foreigners. I now believe we should force hotels by law to take a certai percentage of British staff and trainees. Also, let;’s forget the silliness of the eductaion system and restore the three tier system where the academic get academic courses and the non-academic are prepared for work in places like hotels.
Shopworkers are different: you do need a huge family and subservient female members of it to make a corner shop work!
There are some small business people who are native Brits (I am one) but you are right – the sheer laziness, reliance on benefits, bad attitude and reluctance to work is endemic in the beautiful area where I live. I want more cuts and more and more – until young people are forced to work in service jobs. I also want a radical reform of our school system. The attitudes inculcated into their precious darlings by parents and our selfesteem media culture is a harder nut to crack…

                • Wessex Man

What do you deal in then Eddie? hate filled magazines with a swastika on the front, I bet the women in your area just love you “subservient female members” you want World Domination don’t you.

            • Raman_Indian123

What culture and heritage are you protecting by acting in such a barbaric and uncultured way? Immigrants like myself often speak better English than the locally born. If protecting culture is what you are about have English courses for older immigrants. Simple.

              • Spondulicks

Raman, I don’t think your reply relates to anything I’ve written.

                • Spondulicks

                  Ignore that. I can’t read.

            • Raman_Indian123

The UK’s only Nobel Prize for Literature is held by a man of Indian and West Indies origin: V S Naipaul. He is regarded widely as the greatest living writer of English. So much for coloured immigration “threatening” English culture.

              • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

And in a height of irony, Sir Vidia’s views on muslims are probably closer to the majority of the posters on this board rather than the general progressive British public. Then again his second wife is a Pakistani muslim (presumably non-practicing).

              • Spondulicks

Incorrect. Easy to check this on the internet. Kipling (!), 1907; TS Eliot (British by then), 1948; Bertrand Russell, 1950; Winston Churchill, 1953; William Golding, 1983; Seamus Heaney, 1995; Doris Lessing, 2007. Whether Naipaul is “regarded widely as the greatest living writer of English” is debatable.

            • Raman_Indian123

We certainly need immediate deportations – of racist bigots to a specially created country called “Bigotia” where they can merrily tear each other to pieces.

          • peteswordz

“I think the public’s views on this topic need to be strongly challenged..” Maybe, as a member of the public, I might appreciate having my views listened to, first.

        • Malfleur

We need much looser immigration controls so that Rahul Kamath and his pals can see the dissolution of our culture and the rise of islam and its perversities in Great Britain accelerate. Simples. Why Fraser Nelson wants them is another story…

      • Eddie

No – YOU are an ass.
Would you be so tolerant of white British workers who went to Asia and assumed they could work there, lower local wages, dilute the nation’s culture, put enormous pressure on public services, have lots of kids who could claim all British rights?
Whether or not this illegal liar took money from the state is irrelevant.
There is NO net benefit for immigration and the millions of incomers like him have made and are making life for the indigenous population unbearable in multifarious ways.

      • Hexhamgeezer

So he was an ‘honest’ illegal? You obviously know him otherwise the only thing you can be certain of is the colour of his skin. is that what convinces you?

I wonder how many weeks his college had been open before it became defunct.

      • Austin Barry

Oh, dear, it seems that Kamath is the latest prolix, smug, self-regarding pseudo-intellectual (College of Stephen Fry) lefty troll to infest these pages.

He follows in the well-trodden inanity of Telemuchas, Hookslaw etc.

        ‘Craic’ and ‘prolly’ indeed.

        One pound fish?

Zut alors! Doesn’t this vibrant and diverse example of a successful multicultural city know that e hard work of the EU, the UK is strictly metric now?

One KILO! Or 440 grams! Damn your silly English ounces and pounds! We are all French non? (we even send you all our dirty brown people across La Manche – because we don’t want them bien sur!)

Arrest that perfidious Englishman, immediately, mon amis!

Seize his stall! Fry his fish and feed them to Africans (thus putting local suppliers out of business as we in the EU do by dumping all our French butter and milk on Africa).

        • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

Lol, that perfidious Englishman would be the store owner!

          • Eddie

Typical disrepect shown by ganchud for our culture and language – yet he expects us to worship and celebrate his.

If he’s an illegal, get rid of him – and the rest of the hundreds of thousands of illegals that are helping to breed us into minority.

      • Fergus Pickering

Who is this us, frriend? Is it the ignorant, useless white urban poor who take my taxes to buy the tis of lager they pour down themselves when they are not beating up their admittedly hideous kids?

    • jiver

No, I don’t see any suggestion in the article that he should stay, where do you see it? He says quite rightly that our British deportation system is not up to much.

I am interested in the posts about the corrupt university system, I could well believe it.

Ideally Muhammad Nazir might not have been allowed in to the country in the first place, I wouldn’t know about his legality. Then we wouldn’t know what we were missing. He may be a nice , honest guy, in which case I hope he is allowed back in one day.

Many “British” people are too bone idle to get off their backsides and earn a living. At least this guy was making an effort to support himself.

      • sarahsmith232

he’ll have been given a council flat within seconds of being here, he’ll have got himself a national insurance number, not difficult for illegals to do, Labour freed the job centres up to just give them out, no questions asked. he’d have got himself onto the JSA, then he’ll have come out of the job centre and gone straight down to a One Stop Shop and got himself sorted out with housing benefit. then the cash in hand job on the market. they’re all at it in East London. Tower Hamlets is tiny but during the Labour years the housing benefit bill alone was £200million a year!

        • Justathought

I hear it is also known as Jihad benefit and is quite legal under Sharia in Tower Hamlets.

Where are your facts? How do you know he has been a net benefit to our economy? Do you know how many singles you need to sell to get to number 27 in the charts? It’s not that many. His earnings, after he’s paid off the recording studio aren’t probably that much so far. If he hadn’t occupied the number 27 position, some other act would have and might have sold more singles (downloads or whatever), so it is not clear how his presence is benefitting the nation except marginally adding to the gaiety of the nation.

Let’s find out first whether he received any benefits. You don’t know and I don’t know but as S Smith pointed out, huge numbers of people in that part of London do claim benefits.

Unlike S Smith and possibly you I have studied the NIC and benefit system a bit and can say fairly categorically that her allegations are highly unlikely to be true. As she has made them the onus is on her to back them with facts.

              • Daniel Maris

                Rahul,

We know from official surveys that minority ethnic minorities – especially those from Indian,Pakistani, Somali and Bangladeshi communities – are far more likely to be benefit claimants than the rest of the UK population. Given Tower Hamlets’ ethnic make up it seems to me that S Smith’s figures are likely to be accurate. Why do you think they are inaccurate?

                • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

The point she is making is not one of ethnicity. It’s that he is a visa overstayer/ illegal who will receive a slew of benefits. I’d like to see the facts that back that up.

Also would love to see your official surveys (which you have mentioned before) showing the propensity of welfare claims by ethnic makeup.

No, you are the bigot – a typical supporter of mass immigration who despises white people and native British and European culture.
Funny though – people like you who protray yourselves as so liberal and caring don’t give a flying falafel for the native population (usually the poorest people) who suffer because of mass immigration. And that’s not even to mention to terrible effects on social cohesion and the great unhappiness caused.
            You have no empathy.
But hey, if the victims were brown of face and living in Asia, you’d probably be campaigning for all ‘imperialist colonisers’ to be expelled eh?

            • http://twitter.com/rlpkamath Rahul Kamath

One thing I’m more and more sure of Eddie is that I don’t give a toss about you.

              • Eddie

You don’t have to give a toss, ganchud. You can just ask one of your four wives to do it – or perhaps a 12 year old white slag that your taxi driver cousin’s groomed for you.

What is European culture, Eddie old son? Novels in French? Holidays in Tuscany?

‘Wow u really are a narrow minded bigot aren’t you?’
Yes indeed, she could almost be being a Pakistani, isn’t it?!

        • Madame Merle

Do you mean the Islamic Republic of Tower Hamlets?
The council leader who goes by the name of Rahman, I think, recently justified the sale of a sculpture, donated by Henry Moore by saying that the money was more important.

Judging by the bill for housing benefit, he is probably right but getting rid of Moore’s work possibly has a cultural dimension to it.

          • Andy

Only it wasn’t Tower Hamlets to sell.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lucifersibley Alex Sibley

The Islamic republic of tower hamlets. I’ll have to tell my dad that. That will make him laugh. We stopped our charity work there because the council sent the money we raised for its old residents along with tax payers money to an office in Pakistan costing £750,000 that helps immigrants know where to go to get housing, money and some fish for a pound each.

        • Junis

You’re worried about tiny amount of government money going to the minimal upkeep of non-white immigrants but not about the billions going to the british war machine. You think to highly of the kindness of your ethnicity. You should not do this.

      • Boudicca_Icenii

Well he should make an effort to support himself in his own country – not ours.

      • Eddie

Yes, but the answewr it NOT the short-termism of immigration which costs us dear in the long-term (and is!); it is improving the sick comprehensive mess of our school system, esp in inner cities (schools are majority black there). So many teenagers leave school semi-literate, innumerate and with a RISPEK ME attitude that makes them unemployable.

Compare please to the people from Poland who went through a traditional knowlelde-based old-fashioned selective school system, learning by rote and all (and I know – I was a teacher in Central Europe for a year).

But immigration has no net benefit – short term gains are lost because immigrants and their issue also use services, so what then? More immigrants to serve them? Then more? Then more?

Life in the UK was better when we had a population of 56 million not the 62 million it is now. The housing crisis and recession which is hurting so many so badly is a DIRECT result of the pressures of mismanaged immigration. For example, the Thamesmean estate to the south of London used to be full of whjite working class (I went to school with some); now, thanks to leftwing councils who care more about dark-skinned people (esp with children) then white natives, the whole place is like Lagos, with 80% Africans. WHY? We do NOT need these people!

The influx of people from Asia and Africa has been a largely negative thing – and will be more so in future. Why can’t we have guest workers, like Saudi eh? Come here 2 years or 5 or 10, then fuck off. Problem solved. Break the law and you get deported even if you were born here. That’s what the US does.

And it’s not as if these market traders bring quality French or Italian style market stalls here anyway. The fish that Pakistani was selling were probably off or nearly there, and like most markets in the UK, these people sell low quality tat.

        • Harry Patch

Oh Breivik (what a fantastic epithet, to whoever coined it!), you are so angry and bitter. No matter how angry, racist and bigoted you are, you’d better accept the fact that the UK is multicultural, multiracial, and the number of beautiful mixed-race children being born here will rise and rise again, with every generation. If you have kids, I hope your son or daughter marries chooses somebody from a different race, so that your nasty white genes are diluted. One less BNP voter to contend with.

        • Spondulicks

Eddie, I’ve found your unhinged, racist fulminations highly entertaining, but it’s time for you to return to the ward. Please go quietly, or the big nurse (that’s him in the green uniform) will have to make you go.
